I spoke with them on the phone before deciding to go in because my regular vet's office was closed. My dog was seen promptly by the doctor. I felt good about the visit and wouldn't hesitate to take my dogs back there in an emergency.

My beautiful 18 mo old Maltese was attacked by 2 large dogs on a Saturday afternoon, we live in the Hephzibah area and drove around in a panic with a bleeding, scared, dog who was in shock so badly that she didn't even recognize me, finally we located Augusta Animal Emergency, we handed her over and waited for the Dr. and nurses to work a miracle, they took her in right away and within the hour called us back to give us their assessment and our little fur baby was beginning to calm down, the cost was reasonable and they were very empathetic, the place was spotless and everyone was very professional. I'd recommend them in any and every pet/animal emergency!

We took our cat there after she started foaming from the mouth. Upon arival the vet tech that took care of her was great. He was general and seemed to really care about the animal. That all changed when this “Vet” came in and started her exam. Number 1 she was rude and didn’t seem to know what she was talking about. She was rough with our cat and didn’t seem to care about the animal. We realized that our cat had just licked a lizard or a frog and that is what caused her foaming. At this point out cat was behaving fine and she was acting like nothing was wrong. The vet tried to convince us to spend 500 dollars on blood work stating she thinks our cat had a hear murmur. Needless to say we took her to a different vet the week following and he said that there was nothing wrong with our cat and her heart sounded perfectly fine. This place preys on taking advantage of people. If I could put this place out of business I would. Steer clear people I’m telling you

My dog was bitten by my sisters dog on Thanksgiving and needed stitches. My husband waited almost 4 hours in the waiting room and then another 2 in a room before even being seen. They then wanted to charged almost $1100. That is ridiculous! After reviewing the itemized estimate, we found that many charges were for the same thing, only worded differently. We told them that was ridiculous and we would take her somewhere else. They then did what needed to be done for around $500. After the swelling had gone down, we found that the stitching was done so poorly. There were gaps in between each stitch and the stitches weren’t even tied tightly, they were coming undone. Now my fur baby is left with a gaping wound that needs re-stitching, and we will be responsible for the charges to have anymore treatment done. I will never again use this place.

All the staff were friendly, courteous, and quick to help our dog, who was bleeding at 9 pm at night. Quick to treat, and give us answers.
