This school administration only cares about what looks good over what works. It doesn’t set up its staff for success, which makes the school experience for students awful. Some of the teachers are really good, and do some to redeem the school. Also there is never any parking, and it’s a nightmare to find someone with an answer if you have a question.

AU is changing! It is great to see them actually picking up the phone, and answer calls etc. Lol. But I honestly can't believe some of the unprofessional professors they have here. Some professors are PROUD to have the highest fail rate in a department. They are constantly telling students they will not finish school or become doctors, and are constantly arguing with students and are beyond inflexible (a chemistry professor Wan is a perfect example). This is not preparing students for anything except failure. These professors should be ashamed of themselves, the school is being paid a lot for people to learn, not be thrown around an obstacle course, be put down and ultimately fail. Why keep them around when clearly they are holding this school back. On a side note, there are some AMAZING professors here, who love teaching and are very bright and understanding and go above and beyond to help you. I mean just the most wonderful professors we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Extra staff (janitors, parking people, cooks, ect) are great and very laid back. Very understanding and not like those schools that try to fine you for everything. I believe this school is really changing and doing much better, it is such a beautiful school and I can't wait to see it keep on flourishing

I took my mom to see the plastic surgeon. As I was sitting in the waiting room, the receptionist begins talking on the phone to someone whom I assume is her boyfriend because of the nature of the conversation. Very unprofessional atmosphere. We drove two hours to come to this doctor because he was highly recommended by his peers. But so far this experience has be less than satisfactory.

I went here from 2008 to late 2010 as a general art major. The administration was not great to deal with honestly (though in my experience, most college/university administration is the most egregious aspect, especially financial aid), and the art program at the time was lacking in digital art courses, but overall, the school is pretty good. The atmosphere is relatively friendly and open, the aesthetic of the campus is good, and it's in a pretty convenient location.

When I called the AU police to asset me with a driver threating me and faulty, staff with his car. Than he began to verbally assault me with every word except the "N" word. He continued saying call the 'fing police" "i dont care". So, I called the AU police for assistance, but, when he arrived he questioned the driver who started totally lying...the officer started questioning me as if he the driver was telling him the truth. Confident because he was White he even went so far as to and made the finger as he stuck out his tonged with his head swaying back and forth as to taunt me while the officer's back was turned. Eventually, I was to fill out a report but, the next day I was let go for unknown reasons.
