I've been working for AU for a couple of years, nice work environment, the downside is that paying is not the highest compared to other places around, plus the ongoing bothersome issue that everyone has to deal with everyday which is the parking, they don't only charge 75$ a month for reserved parking and 25$ month for unreserved parking, but they also make their parking spots way far from working buildings, it might not be an issue during spring, but certainly it's an issue during hot and rainy days. someone will say they provide shuttles. Well, I don't have to arrive 30 minutes earlier to get into a shuttle, plus these shuttles are financed through student fees. The parking issues have been brought to the attention of many AU presidents, but they don't do anything about it. Dr. Keel, if you have your own reserved parking space and make tones of many that you can pay for it, simply I don't and can't afford it. Thanks

I took my mom to see the plastic surgeon. As I was sitting in the waiting room, the receptionist begins talking on the phone to someone whom I assume is her boyfriend because of the nature of the conversation. Very unprofessional atmosphere. We drove two hours to come to this doctor because he was highly recommended by his peers. But so far this experience has be less than satisfactory.

I went here from 2008 to late 2010 as a general art major. The administration was not great to deal with honestly (though in my experience, most college/university administration is the most egregious aspect, especially financial aid), and the art program at the time was lacking in digital art courses, but overall, the school is pretty good. The atmosphere is relatively friendly and open, the aesthetic of the campus is good, and it's in a pretty convenient location.

When I called the AU police to asset me with a driver threating me and faulty, staff with his car. Than he began to verbally assault me with every word except the "N" word. He continued saying call the 'fing police" "i dont care". So, I called the AU police for assistance, but, when he arrived he questioned the driver who started totally lying...the officer started questioning me as if he the driver was telling him the truth. Confident because he was White he even went so far as to and made the finger as he stuck out his tonged with his head swaying back and forth as to taunt me while the officer's back was turned. Eventually, I was to fill out a report but, the next day I was let go for unknown reasons.

This school is the reason I dropped out of college, as a math major taking only one core English course it should have been just a simple English 101, but apparently someone forgot to tell my teacher that as she thought she was teaching advanced creative writing class. Each student was given a picture (mine was that of a red SUV in the middle of a field) and told to write 5 pages on how it makes you feel... As a purely mathematical mind I had quite a bit of difficulty completing this assignment, staring at this picture for hours on and and being unable to "feel" anything... I eventually caved and met up with the teacher after class and proceeded to ask for a new assignment, being unable to "feel" anything while staring at this SUV in the middle of a field... The teacher ignored my request and pleas for help which eventually made me feel inadequate for college life as I was unable to complete the assignment and later dropped out. Thank you Augusta State for ruining my college career.
