Story

We are Austin's first and most experienced iLASIK (all-laser LASIK) and Laser Cataract Surgical team of ophthalmologists. We specialize in vision correction surgery.

We also provide the full-spectrum of eye care from routine eye exams, prescribing glasses and contacts, treatment of dry eyes, glaucoma, cataracts, and complex medical conditions of the eyes and eyelids. We see children and adult patients.

I had an excellent experience with the entire staff beginning with the receptionist staff to the technicians, to the nurses and of course Dr Shannon Wong. The entire team is made of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals. Patient care is excellent. I highly recommend Austin Eye and Dr. Shannon Wong. My vision is 1000% better. Austin Eye and Dr Wong have blessed me with renewed vision which has greatly improved my quality of life! I feel like a cute 25 year old out to conquer the world! Thanks Austin Eye, Dr Shannon Wong and his entire team. I'm a retired Registered Nurse from Seton Medical Center.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Wong. He is an expert in what he does, and I am so grateful he was my surgeon. He is clearly an expert and the absolute best you can get. My vision is beyond perfect, and the care I've received is equally flawless. From scheduling, to answering my numerous questions, to encouraging me at every step, the staff has been incredible and so supportive. I'm so happy with my experience with Austin Eye and Dr. Shannon Wong.

I had cataract surgery and an implant a few weeks ago and the results have been great! The team at Austin Eye is very professional throughout and services were well executed from start to finish. Do your homework about what to expect and how much it will cost and let them do the rest. I will certainly return to Dr. Bui when I need my other cataract removed.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. I have been a patient of Austin eye for years. Dr. Odette is an amazing doctor and I have no complaints with care. My complaint is with the business as a whole. My boyfriend had an issue with the office billing policy. They have handled themselves VERY unprofessionally and made false accusations. Leaving defamatory remarks, and using someone's name in a post is both unethical and immature. Even if it were true, to go to the extent that they have over a comment they don't like is childish and unprofessional. No wonder they have such a high rating, people are afraid to leave negative reviews, or they just have them removed. This is not a business I or any of you should want to do business with. It appears they equate freedom of speech with legal action. I am truly disappointed in how the business handled the whole situation--I was witness too it. Being in customer service myself, it's disheartening to see that what they care about is the dollar and not the relationship they have with the community or their patients. Now I'm forced to leave a great doctor and find a new one over the actions of their business. Really people? I suggest taking some customer service and communication courses for your office and business staff-- ---UPDATE RESPONSE TO BUSINESS OWNER: My boyfriend never reported Dr. Odette to the BBB or Medical board. He had no issues with Dr Odette. He reported the unprofessionalism of the business itself. Mainly the office staff. And while the only true part of their statement is that he got his money back-- they fail to mention that the check they sent originally was not cashable due to the fact that it was torn when he received it. They expected him to bring the check there to them in order to get a replacement. They treated him as if he were a criminal and was going to try to cash both checks --- over $45. It then took them 2 months to replace the check. I can appreciate that the owners believe their office staff's story of what went down-- but I witnessed the interaction. And, as a business, good customer service is treating the customer as if they are right no matter what.

Went in late afternoon for a thorough exam after an accident was causing some different vision issues. Intake staff was great. Office was comfortable. Tech took me through 3 different machines and tests that got to a level of detail I couldnt have received from a regular optometrist. Dr Odette was great. Discussed options, gave some information I had not received before to help me make an educated decision. Would highly recommend Austin Eye for anything vision related.
