The staff were great! Best cleaning I've ever had. Great office and great staff. Don't hesitate to come. Update 2018: Dr. Richard does a good job and the dental hygienists are very through and helpful. You can tell they care. Ultimately I decided to leave and go with another dentist this year. This is a result of the lack of flexible billing options available through this office. I needed a crown and the office wanted to charge me full price of the crown and then have me deal with my dental insurance to get a refund. Even though my insurance indicated they would cover 60% of the cost of the procedure, I was told I was told by the receptionist would still need to pay full price upfront and then work it out with the insurance to get refunded by my insurance. It felt like they just didn't want to do the work of working the billing with the insurance company and wanted to punt all the work onto me. This was too much of a hassle and not standard business practice. I called a different dentist office and they immediately were able to tell me the insurance adjusted cost of the procedure that I'd have to pay upfront. This is the second billing issue I've had with this location and as such decided to go somewhere else.

This dentist is by far the most genuine one I have met. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and feeling well. He personally takes interest in you. I have been very impressed by his kindness, knowledge and professionalism. His hygienist that has helped is super friendly and pleasant as well. I would encourage anyone to trust in this dentist. High end, smart man with all the credentials. What he had that others don’t is great service directly from the doctor who shows he genuinely cares about the people side of his business. Very impressed!

if you're willing to put up with a lot of your valuable time wasted due to an unorganized staff, showing up on time for appointments only to wait for hours, then be seen and not know what they were even doing, come home in enough pain your plans had to be cancelled and on top of that, just ok customer service from their stafff but you get a decent end result... then Gateway Dental Arts is your place. I had an implant and 2 crowns done and in the end they look good but Dr. Austin was unable to take away the sharp edge on the inside of my crown since it may "break again" (the first tooth was broken at time of placement and I had to go back, yet again). AND I don't feel at all like I was valued as a client. My daughter now needs some work done and I will be seeking out a new cosmetic dentist.

I felt compelled to write this review after having 6 "veneers" placed on my front upper teeth. I want to begin by stating that although I thought I was having some simple veneers placed, Dr Austin placed 6 full crowns on my teeth. The trouble came when he prepped my teeth without using water. The heat generated from the high speed drill actually killed the teeth. Of course at the time I did not know this. I only could smell a horrible burning smell as he drilled. 8 months later a dark cloudy appearance was showing through the front crowns. I was horrified at how unattractive this was. I went back in and showed him what was happening. He said he had never seen this before and was willing to fix them at no charge. I booked the appointment. At this time I still didn't realize my teeth were no longer vital. However, I had suspicion as there was a rotten odor when I flossed them. When I went in for the correction he seemed very angry. He was extremely rough with the injections which left the roof of my mouth cut-up and very sore for about a week. When he removed the crowns he again did not use water and the procedure was long and horrible with cracking sounds and pain. Once the crowns were removed I could really smell the rotten odor. I went to the restroom so I could look at the prepped teeth. I saw that my "prepped" teeth were all very dark brown. The odor was also prominent. When I can back into the room I was presented with a contract releasing Dr. Austin from liability. At this time I had no crowns placed on my teeth and was quite uncomfortable with the situation but felt if I didn't sign his agreement I would be walking out with rotten nubs for front teeth and no crowns. I signed. I don't feel I have any recourse and am now facing the removal of all my front teeth to be replaced with implants ($10,000-$16,000). I am in my early 40's with meticulous hygiene. I wish I had never gone to Dr. Austin. Please strongly consider this experience before booking with Dr. Austin.

From the time I was a young boy all the way until just 5 years ago I absolutely feared, loathed, and despised going to the Dentist....! In fact even talking about the dentist made me horribly nervous and anxious....! However that all changed when I met Dr. Richard Austin and the amazing ladies he has on his dental staff.....! On each and every visit there are no mysteries as to what procedures will be taking place and all questions are answered thoroughly, which puts me, the patient, in a relaxing and comfortable mood for the duration of my visits.....! So for Me, being someone who is terrified of the Dentist, I could not have asked for a better one than I have right now with Dr. Austin....and I could not ask for a better group of ladies/hygienists to continue helping me keep my Teeth sparkling white and cavity free.....!!!!
