Aveda Institute Maine, formerly Capilo's Institute, is a nationally accredited school, and we offer financial aid to those who qualify. With our new, state-of-the-art facility and the quality of education we have built our reputation on, you would think it would cost more money to attend this school, but the Institute has managed to keep the tuition cost low. Aveda Institute Maine has one of the lowest tuition costs in the northeast.
We were the first school in the northeast to add the CLIC learning system to its cosmetology program. The CLIC system is designed to teach and assist students to be the ultimate professional in the industry. This is an educational system which makes it easy to learn the latest techniques in haircutting, perming and hair color.
We offer flexible schedules to allow students to set their own schedule. Students may attend 30 to 40 hours a week. This gives students the flexibility to work and take care of family responsibilities while obtaining an education.
We limit the size of each class to make sure that each student gets the personal attention they need.
We have a busy clinic that averages over 400 to 500 clients each week. This is a working class clientele that gives our students the hands-on experience and the training to make a smooth transition from school to a salon.
