I have already discussed this with Aveda’s corporate office, but feel I need to warn other potential customers about Salon Norrell. 

)	I waited a month for an appointment specifically for a Master stylist who could do both cut and color on the same day. I had not colored my hair in over 10 years and wanted to feel comfortable about the level of service I was receiving. I was scheduled with Lori and looking forward to it.

)	On the day of my appointment, I arrived excited only to be told nonchalantly by the receptionist Tori that my stylist Lori called in sick and was not available. I understand things come up, but the professional courtesy is to call to inform the client of a schedule change or cancellation PRIOR to them arriving for the appointment. I was told no other Master stylist was available but that someone else (with 5 years experience versus 25+ years with Lori) was available and was a great stylist. I was hesitant to say the least, but I felt uncomfortable turning down someone to cut my hair when put on the spot like that and was assured by the staff she was a great stylist. When I asked for the next available appointment with Lori for cut and color they told me I would have to wait another month! I agreed to see Amanda for cut and color.

)	During both my shampoo and cut, multiple other employees came up and asked my stylist when she was going to be done because they needed my chair. While being anxious about the change in services in the first place, this made it much worse. Eventually the stylist told the employees to stop asking when she would be done. I honestly could not believe how unprofessional the staff was at this salon.

)	During my consultation with Amanda, she advised me to be sure about the color I was choosing due to the intense maintenance it required and told me to think about it. I appreciated her honesty and agreed to mull it over while I was getting the cut done. When I had decided on the color I wanted, Amanda was almost done with my cut and told me THEY DID NOT HAVE TIME FOR ME TO GET MY HAIR COLORED because they had booked someone else during my appointment time. I reminded her that I was scheduled for both and she double checked, but there apparently was not a single stylist who could color my hair during that appointment or even on the same day. I was told to come back to get the color service even though I confirmed multiple times I would still be able to get both with my substitute stylist.

)	***My stylist Amanda did a great job with the cut, and she worked hard to improve my experience despite the unprofessional staff members. This review is not meant to reflect poorly on her, as I was very happy with her service.
 
)	Upon checkout, I voiced my concerns to Tori at the front desk and not only did she not apologize for the multiple mistakes or attempt to tell a manager/make amends, but she did not seem to care AT ALL about my experience.

)	After I left the appointment, furious at the lack of professionalism and courtesy and with half of the services I was scheduled for, I looked online to see who the manager was. Come to find out, Jenn (the manager) AND Rebekah (the owner) were present the ENTIRE TIME and made no attempts to clarify or make amends. I had no idea who they were because they made no attempt to get involved or resolve the issues. With administration like that, it is clear why the customer service was so poor. Buyer beware- do not waste your time or money on this salon. The only shining light was Amanda who despite the terrible customer service managed to make me smile and did a great job on my cut.

This is the best salon, I absolutely love it. Everyone is so nice and I love my new bangs!! I was so scared to try bangs but I brought in a pic and chatted with my stylist. She let me know they would be a commitment! I said yes to the bangs and couldn’t be happier! I’ve never loved my hair as much as I do now. Enjoyed my time there and my wine. Thanks for spoiling me!

I've been coming to Kristine for a few years now and I absolutely love her. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. My multi textured hair is a challenge and she is right on point. She is a very talented senior stylist that always does a fabulous job coloring and cutting. She has a great personality! I enjoy our conversations. We share lots of laughs during appointments.

Amber did an amazing job on my Balayage. Gorgeous salon and a very relaxing service. Free facial and hand scrub with any service. All the products are natural and cruelty free, not to mention they all smell amazing, unlike other products that smell like chemicals. I was served wine and a light snack along with my service. You really get the VIP treatment every time you go in. Highly recommend.
