This was not a good experience. The person I spoke to on the phone to confirm the reservation was very rude. When I arrived to pick up the car, they refused to take my debit card (I have been using debit cards to rent cars for years without any issues). The time of the rental coincided with a very busy few days. I had made my reservation 2 months in advance. I asked a friend to call back a few hours after I left without a car asking to rent the same class of car. The price quoted for the exact same period of time was now 130.00 higher than the price I had on my reservation confirmation. Probably none of this is illegal but it is an unfriendly environment with evidence of price gouging. Businesses like this should not be rewarded when there are alternatives available.

The young lady at counter was pleasant and helpful. The car was ready on time.  The only complaint I had was side windows were very dirty outside and the windshield was extremely dirty (very heavy film) on the inside causing problems when I was heading into the sun. 
Overall, good experience.

I waited over an hour and a half in line to get my reserved rental car, despite there only being a dozen people in line ahead of me. They were grossly understaffed and incompetent. I strongly advise against renting from the Avis franchise at the Orlando airport.
