Reserved a car online, showed up, paid with my debit card and was denied a car because I had poor credit. I am 22 years old and have never had a credit card. Why would my credit be an issue in my driving skills? Completely unprofessional. If there was an issue, it should have been discussed over the phone before I even left for the rental center let alone placed a reservation. I will never use Avis, even when my credit goes up.
