I live across the street from this AWESOME restaurant! I have eaten here more than 100 times and never had a bad experience. I wanted to comment on what another reviewer posted. Her name is Isabelle H. She posted that the restaurant was not busy and she got slow service. However, I was at here the same night she was here. There was a party of more than 125 people in the next room that she forgot to mention. Isabelle H. could not see these people and that is why she may have been upset. Isabelle probably did not make a reservation of her birthday party. I ate that night and did not have any problem being served. Although I did not show up with a large group( or an arrogant attitude).  The owner did not have to let Isabelle have her party there at all. She needs to make a reservation ahead of time for a party. She took a gamble that they would not have 125 or more people on the same night. Under normal circumstances her Isabelle H. party of over a dozen would have easily been managed. I hope this clears up any misconceptions for anyone.

Love the authentic home style cooked food. The atmosphere is great. The hookah is cheap and it goes for a while. Been to many other places but this is one of my higher rated ones. The owners are very invested in ensuring the establishment runs smoothly. Great service. Highly recommend coming here to this hidden gem. (This is an unsolicited review. Save your money and go somewhere else, if you care for good food and service. I gave it a try a few times but the food was mediocre, meats usually dry and too small of a place for sharing with hookah smokers. It should be advertised as a hookah bar full stop. It’s also usually empty *bad sign* Waitresses seem to try their best but it’s not their fault. I am not sure who the replier is talking about but that should tell you about their idea of “customer courtesy”. there are never greeters by the door since they are mostly empty (read other comments) and you have to signal to one of the waitresses to find a seat. Like i said customer courtesy and appreciation is a “favor” they are doing to the public in this place.

My friend had her birthday party here last night and we had a total of 10 people. When we got there, the place was pretty slow. The waitress took our orders which consisted of food, cocktails, and hookah all at once. It was 45 minutes before we received anything at all, and what they brought us was our food. Everyone’s food except for mine and my boyfriends. We were still waiting on our drinks when the hookah was finally brought to us, the girl set it down ON TOP OF the table and left it. Before we had even gotten a chance to touch it, the owner ran over and grabbed it tellin. Is that it was a safety hazard to have it on the table. I informed her that we were sorry and that the waitress was the one that had put it on top of the table to which she replied “REALLY? Because you guys know I was WATCHING her” in the most sarcastic tone I have ever heard. Great. Luckily, my boyfriends food came next (still no drinks) and I watched everyone finish their food without even a pass by from our waitress to see if I had gotten mine. Then the drinks came with little to NO alcohol in them. When the waitress finally came back over and I asked about my food, she also caught an attitude and started telling us how stressed the owner was and that it’s not their fault. Which is understandable, but to start arguing with your customers about why they cannot get anything right is a mistake. 

Fast forward 20 minutes and my food comes. The checks eventually make their way over and low and behold after everything else, the mandatory party tip of $14 is on the bill on top of everything else. Which I honestly would not mind paying if the service and the attitudes had even been remotely standard. 

We won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone in the future especially after our encounter with the owner herself. The 5 star reviews come from the people that are just in it for the food and nothing else.

Edit: looking back at other people’s reviews, I honestly don’t feel the need to tell you that the owner has an attitude. Just read her responses to the people that are less than ecstatic about their experiences. It’s self explanatory.
