It's awesome to have vegan gluten free options in Portland, so I hate to only give it 3 stars, especially since it's a friend's very favorite place. However, the root medley was almost only potatoes and too spicy to eat, and the cauliflower BBQ pizza was quite sparing on the cauliflower and the BBQ sauce was spicy enough that I scraped as much as I could off. Their donuts have a muffin like consistency, which my friend likes, but I prefer the dense old fashion donut consistency you find with Petunias donuts.

We had the opportunity to have brunch at their expanded location this morning and wow are we impressed! 100% plant based and gluten free and TASTY! We got the biscuits and gravy bowl and the root vegetable hash. Incredible! A must try! And they still serve their pastries and coffee next door as well!

I came here with my mom. She didn't tell me we were going to a vegan, gluten free cafe, so I was very excited when I got in and found out. We don't have anything like this where I'm from so I ended up asking the lady like three times if everything was vegan. Fortunately, she was very nice and did not get impatient with me. I love the look of the place and especially the little dessert shop next door. We got four different desserts - chocolate cheesecake, cherry pie, lemon pie, and a chamomile donut - and they were all delicious. I will be back here every time I come to Portland.

Everything here is incredible. They have a cupcake on occasion that tastes like fruit loops. All of their cookies are delicious, their whoopie pies are something you should absolutely make a special trip for. Their donuts are crazy good, especially the chocolate root beer one. I live about 20 miles away from the shop but I will make the long drive when I'm looking for a special gluten free/dairy free treat, or when I have friends coming over that would appreciate that kind of thing. For sure my go-to bakery. Usually quite busy though just FYI. Excited to try their pizza after their expansion next door is complete.

I’ve been here twice already (I just moved here in September!) Vegan and gluten free desserts are hard to come by—especially this delicious! Definitely my husband (who has a lot of allergies) and my top favorite spots!
