Located just a stone’s throw from the Seattle/Bainbridge Island ferry terminal, BIMA is the gateway to Bainbridge Island and beyond, and the home to a growing permanent art collection with a focus on artists and collections from the Puget Sound region.

Story

We are an art museum and cultural center on Bainbridge Island in Washington State, a 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle.

Mission

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is an educational institution whose mission is to engage a diverse population in the contemporary art and craft of the Puget Sound Region.

It's free, so how bad could it be? :) It's small, but it's a lovely space with curators who care. There was an indigenous art exhibition when I was there and the pieces on display were outstanding. Two floors, a gift shop and a cafe. Pretty good for a place as small as Bainbridge Island!
