Now this place is a real treat. Their sandwiches are delicious because the owner/baker/caretaker of the place pours her heart out  On every meal. In trust me just as I can tell you will be able to tell as well. The place is not expensive although it may lack a place to sit down this delicious hole in the wall makes up with flavor and an unheard of 'can do' attitude.  The owner can do anything that you can dream of when it comes to sweets.

Since moving to FL 25 years ago I have not been able to find a decent bakery like we had in the northeast until I found this place. Had a dinner party that we had to attend and wanted a special desert other than publix and Walmart bakery items. Well I sure did find it! Not only did they look beautiful on the serving tray they tasted awesome and everyone commented on how they weren’t the typical grocery store bakery item. I bought a little of everything they had left of sweet pasty and they were all delicious!!

My mother is Colombian and one thing I have missed were guava based treats. Bakery Makel has one of the most delicious Guava & Cheese Pastries - add it to my coffee and it is like being with family!

This is literally the worst bakery I have EVER had the displeasure of doing business with. I actually can't even call this place a business. More like a waste of money with terrible service. We ordered a two-tier cake for a birthday, and not only did they not refrigerate it to ensure that the icing would be hardened and properly set, but they did not attach the two tiers of the cake. It was so ill-prepared that it was sweating when we picked it up. Holding it flat and driving very carefully, the top tier slid right off the cake. My wife is a baker and cake decorator, and she could instantly that the cake was not properly prepared or connected. We called the bakery immediately to ask if they could fix the cake, or even if we had additional icing so that my wife could repair their shoddy work, and they said no and refused to help whatsoever. In fact, they told us that we should've been driving more carefully, assuming that we were not taking the proper care of the expensive cake we paid for. There were MULTIPLE issues here.

Regardless of what the other reviewers say, be forewarned that this is NOT a bakery you want to do business with. There are plenty of other bakeries in town that will provide a quality product and reasonable customer service. My biggest disappointment is that I have to even give one star. Their service and product clearly does not deserve even that.
