I called to see if i would have to pay for an another month sticker... mine was stolen. I asked if when paying online for my renewal if they would send both stickers or if i would need to come in to get it....The lady said "i dont care how u do it" and i said so, ill just come in to make sure i get it and she said "you do that" and hung up the phone! Extremely rude!

I have been calling and calling trying to get ahold and talk to someone about a price on a tag for my new vehicle and its not legal so i cannot drive it yet,so i finally got ahold of someone and she said quote "Im sorry,but i am very busy on my computer right now,and i am not exiting out of what im doing just for a tag price". wow.

I have to say I have delt with DMV in several States and this was one of the best experiences. Had to wait 30 min which isn't bad and it was the last day of the month. We had to register a boat and motorcycle. It only took 15-20 minuets and bam...we were done! The boat registration was only $25.00! We couldn't believe it! The title on motorcycle was n't signed so we have to back. Debra was very helpful and very nice! Clean facility located in Foley, Al with ample parking.

I had a customer bring her paid invoice, title and vin stickers to the Foley dmv and they said she had to have a bill of sale so she called me. A paid invoice is a bill of sale. They are the same thing. It had our business name and address, her name and address and that she had paid for the trailer and sales tax. I called the DMV myself to find out what was going on since I gave her the same paperwork I give every single customer. Ms. Christensen said that it had to say bill of sale and also had to have the vin number on the bill of sale. I told her this was the same document we have been giving out for years and we have never had a customer have this problem before. I also explained that a paid invoice is the same thing as a bill of sale. It is simply a receipt. That's all it is. She said no it has to say bill of sale and it has to have the vin printed on the bill of sale. I said okay well I guess I'll have to get special documents printed up for customers who are going to the Foley DMV. I then called back and pretended to be a customer who had just bought a trailer and asked her what I needed to get a tag. She first told me I needed a bill of sale that I signed, the seller signed and two other witnesses signed. I then said well I bought it from a dealership, why would I need to have witnesses sign it? She then said, oh well then all you need is the bill of sale with a full description of the trailer and the title they provided you. I said thanks and hung up. I know she said it needed a full description of the trailer, but she did not say it had to have the vin printed on the bill of sale. A full description to me implies what size, what color, how many and what size axles etc. My point is that she did not give the "customer" who called the same information as she gave me. She was not specific. A full description is a pretty broad term. This customer would head up there with their receipt/invoice/bill of sale and think they were all good only to wait in line and be turned away. Why is it like this at the DMV? Why are there no specifications listed online so we don't have to call and talk to the Ms. Christensen's of the world. Why does the government make it so difficult to simply own something? It's a utility trailer used to haul things. It shouldn't take multiple trips and phone calls to get this right. I know working at the DMV must be awful, but if you had exact specific requirements that you told every person every time AND it listed online it would solve a lot of problems. I also find it strange that after 20 years of business all of the sudden our paperwork does not meet requirements. She could not tell me why our paperwork had been accepted up until today. Her only explanation was that everyone else must have not been following the rules, but she follows the rules.
