I usually don’t write reviews, but I had such an amazing experience with Simon and Ballantyne Jewelers, I had to share it. In the beginning, I ended up visiting 10 different stores. I even called several wholesale dealers that were located out of state. 

From the start, Simon treated me incredibly well. He sat down with me for hours and taught me all the important characteristics to consider when selecting a diamond. This unmatched customer service was before he knew whether I was going to spend $2,000 or $10,000.  Once we had a budget, Simon helped me choose a ring with the best cut, clarity, and setting for my price range. He also threw in a lifetime craftsmanship warranty and guarantee. 

Before you put a down payment on a ring, please talk to Simon Tekin at Ballantyne Jewelers. I strongly believe that he can not only compete and beat any price, but more importantly, give you a better overall and first-class experience.

My fiance purchased our engagement ring here and we have been blown away at the efforts the staff have made to make us feel like valued customers. They made efforts to get to know my fiance as he chose my ring and they remember my fiance's name each time we come in.  They even remembered a request that we made a month ago when we walked in today without even having to bring it up. We are excited to purchase our wedding bands here and trust them with our business!

Friendly staff and nice location but, for me, failed to make ring as discussed. Was seeking a reset using same setting type but from yellow gold to white gold with existing diamonds.  They convinced to me to add an additional upper band which would enhance the main diamond. This was to be done by attaching three bands. Upon pick up I now have one band with no distinction between the elements of my wedding band and my engagement ring. What was supposed to be a wedding set now looks like a cocktail ring. The engagement diamond is lost in a football looking setting. Was told it was more feminine than my initial setting which was off-putting. I said the ring was fine because I don't trust someone who took a month to not do what was discussed in the first place but I will be going somewhere else to get the diamonds done to my specifications. Get any discussion of design requests written down in specifics. Also, original bands were not returned.

I had my fiance's engagement ring custom made at Ballantyne Jewelers, and I could not have had a better experience or been more satisfied with the final product!  I moved to Charlotte from Raleigh, NC.  My family has used a well-known and respected jeweler in Raleigh for the past 20 years - both of my brothers had their wives engagement rings made by "the family jeweler."  In looking for rings, I wanted to look around Charlotte and Raleigh, but I always assumed I would probably use our family jeweler because they were a known commodity and do great work.  However, Sami and all of the folks at Ballantyne Jewelers made me feel comfortable and could not have been more helpful and accommodating of my needs and my busy schedule.  I am naturally skeptical/suspicious and it was very difficult to roll the dice on Ballantyne Jewelers over my family jeweler, but I could not be happier that I did.  The customer service was unmatched, the price was extremely reasonable when compared to other jewelers, and the final product blew me (and my fiance) away!  It is a custom-made ring that is identical (or better) than what we envisioned.  Everywhere we go, people randomly comment on how beautiful the ring is.  Coming from someone who second guesses everything, you can trust Ballantyne Jewelers!  I am a customer for life now, and, if you give them a try, I bet you will be too.

First class service in the Charlotte area. Quality fine art and even better quality people. Honest, family owned service taking the edge off of jewelry shopping. Extremely helpful with abundant knowledge of jewelry. They build a professional relationship while listening to the consumer instead of pushing “business” agendas. If you don’t at least stop by you are making a big mistake.
