This is one of the best things about living in Westchester! It's a family run camp and it really feels like it. My son started when he was 6 and is now in high school and will be attending Ballona as a counselor in training this year. The camp exposed my son to activities that i only wish i had a chance to do when i was his age. They have many different activities that keep the camp fresh so kids don't loose interest. over the years we tried 3 different beach camps and this is the only one that we returned too. They are flexible and really get to know the kids on a personal level. I know its a business but it feels more like a family and that is what keeps us coming back. With all the activities and games the most important part of our experience has truly been the staff. The bonds they created with my son, the respect that they showed me and the way they are always engaged is what really makes this camp one of our local best kept secrets. I'm so proud that my son was excepted into the training program and recommend that you try it for yourself.
