Bandanas Mexican Grille
"At Bandanas, we live the motto “Love People, Feed Them Tasty Food”. We believe that there’s a kindness in cooking that sets something good in motion, and we want to share it with you. Everyday we make all of our own marinades, sauces and salsas from scratch with fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices. We seek out the highest quality meats, fresh-caught local fish, aged natural cheeses and the season’s glorious Jersey produce. Emphasis is on a lighter, healthier approach to cooking and our menu items are prepared fresh to order. Although we have no liquor license, you may “bring your own” or try one of our non-alcoholic beers or margaritas to complement your dining."

Great restaurant. The outdoor dining is spacious and chilly — great because of the hot weather elsewhere. Service was quick, and the waiters were really nice and accommodating. I recommend getting the nachos for sure, and any meal with their steak. Dessert was also delicious! We had the brownie sundae and finished it quickly. Really recommend this place. One star off because the meals are a little pricey.
Food is OK. Service sucks. Apps came out before drinks. They won't substitute even the simplest thing, like chicken instead of beef. Straight out refuse. Apparently they are against clearing even one plate or glass from the table so things just start stacking up. Would be nice if server would have at least taken empty glasses. After the third round of drinks with a table of 5 it starts getting a little crazy. Appetizer plates should be cleared before bringing out entrees. I even stacked them up nice so it would be easy.... Nope. Finally when server brought the check he decided that was the time to clear the table Would not eat there again. There are better options in Wildwood for takeout as well.
At the recommendation of a friend in a local FB forum we had lunch at Bandanas. WHAT A TREAT!!! The trees, flowers, decorative accents, and music set such a relaxed and tropical-ly scene. We had appetizers- the tamale cakes, empanadas, nachos, and fried avocado. All of it was fresh, flavorful, and authentically DELICIOUS!! I also had a pina colada it's a byob, so they're sans alcohol, and it, too, was especially refreshing. The staff was completely kind and groovy. Andrea, our server, was demure, attentive and just adorable. We were too full to try the ice cream, which is HIGHLY recommended and one of the main reasons we went in the first place. I cannot emphasize enough what a delight it was here.
Excellent Mexican food, will definitely be back. Rice bowl was great, chicken was tender and super flavorful. The cheese sauce was the star if the show.
Delicious food!! However, there was an ant that literally crawled out of my tacos, so unfortunately I had to get new ones....also, later that evening I got home and was extremely sick...I'm hoping it wasn't from their food, because honestly it was the best I've had in the area and would love to go back!! Salsa is fresh and homemade, the tacos were so tasty. I would recommend!
This is a good Mexican restaurant. The food won't dazzle, but it'll fill you up. A little fissappinted on how big the mumbo nachos was, basically an order of nachos anywhere else, not impressive. And the burritos and tacos were good, but won't blow you away. Food could have a little more seasoning to taste better
Host was super nice and informative, let us know the place was BYOB and pointed us to the nearest liquor store. We were a large party but got seated immediately even without a reservation. Shout-out to our fantastic server, John, who was able to keep track of our 4 separate bills and was very friendly. The appetizers were out 5 minutes after ordering them and mains came very quickly as well, everything was delicious. Our meal was maybe an hour at most from start to finish. Would definitely come here again, thanks for having us!
I went there alone 3 weeks ago enjoyed it so much came back and brought my husband. We enjoyed it so much The next night we brought two friends. Very very good dinner chips and salsa were good and the main meals were delicious both the chicken and the steak and the service was excellent. Even the owner asked us if we enjoyed the meal It was a perfect experience
We Were on a search for some good Mexican restaurants in the Wildwood area and settled on Bandanas. Our order consisted of Chips & Salsa, Primo Steak Quesadilla, Burrito Supermo, American Ground Beef Tacos, Steak Street Tacos, Grilled Fish Tacos and a couple of Choco Tacos for desert. The food was cooked well, very tasty, served at a good temperature and delivered in a timely manner. The service was prompt and very attentive. There is outdoor and indoor seating and credit cards are accepted. Parking is tough, especially in season, we used the Tramcar to the end of the boardwalk and walked the few blocks to the restaurant. Our only knock was having the chips and salsa on the appetizer menu where as most places we visit include them like bread at a diner. Overall it was a very positive experience and we will certainly return.
Very nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor was nice with good service that we experienced. We had the quesadillas, vegan rice bowl option was a good dish that we have tried.
