Wildwood finally has a real deal mexican spot. Stop what you are doing and go get some barbacoa tacos— they are not greasy or dry… they are not too salty, they are divine.  My husband got a steak burrito— when I asked him to explain it, he said it was exactly what he hoped for. Steak was cooked perfectly.  It’s a takeout spot, that is unassuming, but the flavors speak for themselves. Order at the counter with seat yourself outside or inside seating. Great service and a server even though its a seat yourself.  We will be returning year after year— support them! They need to stick around.

My husband and I stopped at El Alebrije for lunch on a whim after wanting to go to Bandanas but found that Bandanas was closed! Well I'm so happy they were otherwise we would've missed out on the magic. The food we had at El Alebrije was OUTSTANDING. I got the Chilaquiles Verde with steak and my husband got the tacos Al Pastor. TO DIE FOR. Both of them. Flavor was superb. Everything was so fresh and looked stunning and came out piping hot. The sauces are my dream come true. I could've drank the habenaro sauce. The service was wonderful. Daniella was so kind and attentive. I cannot wait until I'm in Wild Wood again so we can go back! Thank you SO much everyone at El Alebrije for your hard work and to the chef who clearly puts so much love into the food. Absolutely some of the very best authentic Mexican food we've ever had! P.S I almost forgot. After telling our family about how delicious our food was, we went back with them that night for dinner! It is THAT good!

I live in NYC and I swear Wildwood has way better and more authentic Mexican food. The flautas are AMAZING. All of the tacos are fantastic. But maybe the best part is actually the service… everyone there is so kind and welcoming that I feel like I’m back in Mexico City. ¡Gracias Margarita!

Five stars for delicious food. Don't drive past it. It is small and unassuming. And closing soon for the off season. Served chips to start. The green salsa is delicious. Red is very good, slightly hotter than green. Very tasty food. Real chicken pieces sauteed in vibrant flavors inside my fajitas. Guac, salsa, sour cream on the side. His burrito was tasted delicious and had a nice presentation. If I were in town longer, I'd be a regular.

What a wonderful experience in a town drowning in mediocre food. This is true Neighborhood Mexican. I was told these are recipes from the  owners grandmother/s; you can taste the love.. absolutely delicious, extremely generous portions and the prices are very agreeable....the kids carry it on with pride.. My son and I are grateful for sharing your meals and family with us. We will be back... Stay safe, stay healthy. Be well.

This was up there with my favorite spot in Baltimore Cocina Luchadoras it’s authentic Mexican food. Highly recommend the sopes and verde enchiladas. When it’s busy prepare for a wait, but it’s so worth it!
