With a very sick kitty I went to this veterinarian location. I was unhappy to just drop her off and wait for a phone call. $1,000 later and lots of trips to this location, meaning hours and hours of waiting in line and waiting for updates on my cats care without my cat in the room and told more treatments should be done, I have my pet at home and she is now doing much better many weeks later But a follow up was needed. Oh, sorry, we can't get you seen at that time. Maybe a week later but only at a time that did not work for me. I have a rescue kitten that I wanted to get in for a well visit. Sorry, you will have to go to another location. We are too busy. My recommendation is to not bother with this veterinarian hospital. They don't have time for new patients. Obviously not a business that is well run. Concept is good just not done well at this location. Always lots of apologies for long waits. I saw the actual veterinarian once.

I love Dr. Elizabeth Roumanis and Dr. Adel Benedek. I have two 11 year old mini schnauzers, both with heart murmurs and Lyme disease. Every time I go there the staff and doctors remember their names, and mine, and react like they love my dogs as much as their own. The doctors take their time to listen to my description with issues and throughly recheck Fred and Ginger, and very gently. They some times have different opinions as to the care for them, but work together to help me make decisions. I have had some problems with scheduling and have been upset once, it is an 45 minute drive one way to be told I did not have an appointment and they could not fit me in. The staff they have now are professional and compassionate. I hope they keep the present staff.

I have been seeing the East Hartford group since May of 2015, they are the most wonderful group of people.. and. my "moose" Sophie (a great pyreneese mix) just loves them.... she has been one of their "clients" since she was 8 weeks old.... and anytime i had a question or concern they have ALWAYS been extremely helpful and concerned about my pet's health. i highly recommend them..

On more than one occassion I tried to set an appointment for my dog on their wellness plan. I needed him seen in a day or two due to some health problems he was having. Not immediately life threateneing but could certainly worsen if left untreated. I was told the next appointment that was available would be in over a week. Really? My dog'sfoot could have fallen off by then. Another time my dog was vomiting uncontrollably and was losing body mass. That was life threatening, I was told to wait a week until the next appointment time. Needless to say I had to out of pocket a trip to the animal E.R. hospital near me. The wellness plan I pay for which is supposed to have appointments included at no extra charge are actually non existent. As a long time customer I would expect to have my needs met, especially when I pay a contract for it. Next I had an appointment for a routine exam and yearly visit. They cancelled and rescheduled it until two days later. I tried to cancel the service contract after the exam due to previously poor experiences and was told I could not. They said the policy auto renewed the day before my appointment (which I never was asked to resign) and that I would have to pay the whole years premium since I had utilized their services. Services previously scheduled before my policy would have renewed. Go to banfield if you like being placed on hold when you call, dont mind waiting 45 min to see the vet when you show up on time for an appointment and also enjoy being cheated and your money unrightfully stolen from you.
