Although I usually get carryout, when I have dined in I found the experience better than I expected. The place generally has a lot of patrons so sometimes there is a line but the wait is very rarely egregious. Once you are seated, however, the service is prompt and helpful. The food comes out almost before you know it and unless your glass is empty, the servers leave you to your meal and conversation. And yet once you are done eating and want the check, the server is at your table with your check before you even have time to turn your head and look for him. 

Not the place for a 3 hour brunch but when you want some great Thai food quickly with little hassle, this place is as legit as it gets.

There's a reason this place is always packed for lunch. Super huge portions, sometimes enough for three meals in total, and very fast service. The food is yummy and they happily customize it on  request. 

I love extra peanuts and it's usually a struggle to get enough peanuts to satisfy me, but not here.    I just said I really like a lot of peanuts and that's what I got.

I LOVE this place. I always get beef Pad Thai (no spice, yes I'm a heathen and have 0 tolerance for spicy food. Yet love Thai food. Go figure.) Pictures are aforementioned beef Pad Thai, an appetizer I won't embarrass myself by trying to spell and this awesome soup they always have. Seriously good food.

I have been eating at Bangkok 96 for nearly 20 years and have loved it up until a few weeks ago when I ordered my fried rice.  It was horrible!!!! The rice was not the same, so the next time I ordered my usual I asked had something changed or was that an off day.    The waitress informed me that they went with a different rice that was cheaper so Immediately changed my order but my husband insisted on his usual fried rice.  There was no spice on the rice even though I ordered Hot and there was a quarter cup of oil in the container when he went to finish it the next day.    I don’t usually write reviews but I hope that the restaurant sees this and goes back to the type of rice that was previously used.  I would be willing to pay slightly more for the dish it was made the way it used to be made.

Absolute favorite Thai restaurant. The staff is always nice and quick to meet needs. The food tends to be spicier than you feel it should be, so order with caution. You have to try the coconut ice cream!
