Worst experience I have had at any bank, ever! Explains why their parking lot is always so spacious. The manager I spoke with was unprofessional, rude and disrespectful, so much so, she inspired me to write this review.

It never fails. I live on the same block as this branch and am seriously considering driving out of my way to the next branch as this one make me physically sick. I walk into this building in a decent mood and I walk out utterly pissed. I am required to deal with Bank of America once a month and that is still far too often. I have never held any account with BOA and never will; solely on their lack of care for individuals. Despite BOA being an obscenely notorious slave to paper, this branch is disgustingly worse then the others. Plus, on average lines are continually 12-15 people long with 3 tellers working, resulting in wait times of 25+ minutes.

As a BoA banking customer, I came in to have a state retirement document notarized during my lunch hour on a Thursday. Looking for someone to help me, I could find only one non-teller present in the entire facility - the Small Business Relationship Manager, Herbert Ramirez. With no one other than myself waiting, I stood outside of the glass partition of Mr. Ramirez's office, within view of Mr Ramirez for five minutes, waiting for him to acknowledge my presence. He never did so I politely approached the door to his office and asked if there was anyone in the bank who was available to notarize a document. Mr Ramirez stated that he was a notary and he could do it for me but by appointment only. I stated that I had a single form to notarize and that I had all of my identification on me and on file with the bank and asked if he could make an exception regarding my needing an appointment. He stated that he could not and then stated that if I returned at 5:00 p.m. he would help me then. Driving in West Los Angeles is bad enough at lunch time but 5:00 p.m. is a horror show. However, l told him I would be back at 5:00 p.m. Returning in the dark, traffic and rain at 5:00 p.m. I walked through an empty bank lobby to find Mr Ramirez now available to see me. After waiting ten minutes for him to gather his notary matetials, Mr Ramirez took my identification documents, finger printed me, then filled out a separate form for me to attach to my state form that would serve as verification of my identity. I told Mr Ramirez that the state form required that the notarization be performed on the form and that I thought that his attachment would not serve the state's requirements. Mr Ramirez informed me that he had done this many times before and had never had a problem with the attachment being accepted but if I was not convinced I could wait and call the state to check the next morning (i.e. not my problem). I asked why Mr Ramirez would not verify my identity on the state form and was told that it was to protect him as he could not attest to the validity and authenticity of the form that I had presented to him. WHAT? And the little piece of paper that you notarized is somehow more valid and authentic? I called the state this morning. They will not accept an attachment. Meanwhile, with great inconvenience to me that required me to skip lunch and be late to dinner (LA traffic) I am now an additional day late in sending a time sensitive document to the east coast and I still have to find another notary during my lunch hour today. Herbert Christopher Ramirez - you are a small man and a BIG Chump!
