Baptist Primary Care

Baptist Primary Care seemed more concerned about making money and pushing fees at me than my personal health, pushing multiple doctors visits at me, vaccines, etc. 

When I called billing to ask questions about the way the visits were classified (I was there for an annual checkup and was charged for a regular visit, fairly simple), the employee was very rude telling me "Well you showed up to the doctor multiple times didn't you?" She said I needed to call my appointments number to complain. When I called appointments to ask questions I was eventually rerouted back to billing to the same employee who said "You aren't paying attention, call.." She didn't quite understand that I had been rerouted back to her. And who talks to a customer, much less a patient, that way?

Extremely rude and unprofessional.

The women answering the phones were nothing but rude to me. I called to make an appointment, then had to re-schedule for later that week. I called back to verify the new appointment and not only had they not created a new appointment for me, but said I wasn't allowed to make a new appointment because I had cancelled the first one (which I did NOT do) and then they hung up on me.

Most unprofessional interaction I've had in my life.

I was a patient of Dr. Osborn's for well over a year and have currently switched. I went to Dr. Osborn's office after having major nerve damage done by Baptist South ER doctors, and was extremely upset by the way him and his staff treated me!!! I had just switched healthcare providers and did not have my Insurance card yet. I put the healthcare provider on the phone after arguing with the receptionist for 15min. and she still could not figure it out. I could barely stand or talk at the time I was in so much pain, and all they did was argue with me, the provider, and each other! It was embarrasing, very unprofessional and obviously the worst possible thing you can do to a patient that is in so much pain. I told them over and over if the insurance doesn't pay for this visit you have my address send me the bill. I couldn't believe they cared so much more about the money and not the well being of the patient. Dr. Osborn encouraged the receptionist behavior and did not even attempt to help me because the insurance issue (in his eyes) was still was not resolved. The insurance provider told the receptionist they were behind on updating the information and would have it online to view before the end of the day. She also gave her all the vital information she needed for billing, but still because the receptionist couldn't pull it up on her screen at that moment, I had to suffer the cost!! They also said they would make an appointment for me to see a specialist which never happend either. We had to call them back 3 times to get it done, when asked why they hadn't done it yet  they replied, "because Dr. Osborn said it wasn't urgent"! Apparently not being able to lift your head or get out of bed for a week straight is not a huge deal wherever Dr. Osborn comes from... Terrible doctor and even worst staff, I would suggest Dr. Schramm, Baptist Primary Care who is located off of Phillips hwy just south of CR210.

I called to schedule an appointment on 1/27/11 - I explained that I would be a new patient to that particular location but not to BPC - I asked if I could have the other location fax over my records - I was told that "it doesnt work that way" that they will have to review my records and determine if they would like to take me on as a patient!!!  Since when do I have to fill out an application to receive my medical care?!
