We started with the chips served with salsa and guacamole, which I highly recommend - they were absolutely delicious! We also tried the queso fundido and cheese quesadillas, both of which were very good and tasted identical. Opting for just the queso fundido offers better value for your money. Moving on to the tacos, the carne asada was excellent, while the hongos was a bit too sweet for my liking. We also ordered a horchata, which, to be honest, was the worst I've ever had! Despite that, my husband managed to finish it since he didn't want to waste $10! One thing that would have been appreciated is if the dishes were served one at a time. From the moment we sat down until all the plates arrived, it only took 15 minutes, which made it stressful trying to eat everything before it cooled down. Despite the rush, it's a very lively place, and very noisy! We paid about 62usd for everything not including the tip.
BEST FROZEN MARGS IN NYC-awesome tapas style Mexican food. I had dreams about the corn, the Birria tacos were BANANAS! OH-and the baked bananas dessert was PERFECT! love this spot! Great happy hour, great for groups! Vegetarian options: Street corn, poblano taco, rice and beans, queso fundido, mushroom taco, salad-lots of options
Beautiful restaurant with very friendly staff. Drinks and food were spaced out well, with very speedy service. Really enjoyed this for girls night out but could definitely see it for a romantic date night. Casual dining in a trendy atmosphere earns 5 stars in my book. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place! It’s like a cross betw Rosa Mexicana and Tacombi. It’s all small plates, so order a bunch to share. We really liked the queso fundido, street corn, the tuna tostado, the mushroom honga taco, and the key lime pie. The guac is very good too. I loved the passionfruit cocktail!Food: 5/5
From the shrimp tacos, the delicious mezcal cocktails, to the bright atmosphere. What a great experience! Everything was so good!!!! Don’t sleep on the desserts either! Parking: Parking garage right next store Kid-friendliness: So fun inside, while there was no kid menu I saw, there’s absolutely something for every one.

What a truly fun spot tucked in Times Square. Prices are so reasonable and the food and drinks are great! Awesome hang spot or quick dinner/drinks before or after a show. Especially loved the tacos and the tuna tostada. Solid homemade, authentic chips and salsa too!!Food: 5/5
Bar Mexicana is perfect to stop in and grab a couple snacks and a margarita before a show. The Mexican Caesar is my go to! I could eat that everyday! Can’t ever go wrong with Guac and Esquites. For a larger dish I loved the Shrimp Fajitas! Fun to share at this place for groupsFood: 5/5
We had a wonderful dinner at Bar Mexicana. Service was warm and well paced. The margaritas and horchata were excellent. The street corn, the tuna tostada, and the key lime pie were standout menu items! Highly recommend this new restaurant in Times Square.Food: 5/5
