Nice little network of boardwalks through the swamps and marshes. The NPS staff are also great to talk to. Wear grippy shoes with the wet boardwalks.

Serene walking trails where you can really take in all the beauty of the swamps. Take the trails slowly and keep your eyes peeled, you’re guaranteed to see lizards, fish, spiders, snakes, birds, even deer. Didn’t see any gators.

The visitor center doesn’t have much information to provide. However the hiking trails are fantastic.

Fantastic place to see nature. If you take time to observe, you will see wildlife. Educational signs are in museum and on trails.

This is what a hiking trail should be in South Louisiana! Beautiful well maintained boardwalk trails, rugged walks through swamps, and of course alligators. There are several different trails that range from casual walks to somewhat difficult hikes. This place really has everything.
