Bookstore has a decent selection of newer titles. Trying to find older classics in books, movies or music is difficult. Great magazine selection.

Few years ago I saw Daniel Handler here and he mocked me relentlessly. It was awesome.

I love little quiet bookstores like this one. I could spend hours in here. The profound gratification in flipping through an actual book cannot be replaced by Kindles and iPads. Even better if it's a dusty book that's been around for decades with old stained pages. My favorite is the half-off cover price area, but they look to have a good selection of kids books and comics as well. I'm glad this little Seattle, WA gem has outlived the Barnes and Noble, bookstores. Hope it keeps kickin' for years to come.

Being here reminds me of the scene from You've Got Mail where Tom Hanks eloquently pronounces "I sell cheap books, so sue me." It is an odd and bittersweet turn of fate that has sent Hanks and Barnes and Noble to walk a mile in the shoes of Ryan and small bookstores. People are in the cafe, you might catch an awkward game of Magic the Gathering, you could buy a board game, a graphic novel, or even a book here. Or, you could peruse the shelves and get the books that seem interesting on your Kindle. Not that I'm advising you to do that... One notable plus, I always find something interesting on the table at the top of the escalator. It has a sign like "Interesting books" on it. A final point, if you're on 7th heading southeast, and wondering if it is faster to walk through Barnes and Noble to get into the Pacific Place mall, or if it is faster to turn the corner and take the entrance on Pine street, the answer is that it is faster to turn the corner, I've tested it - but you see fewer books!
