I come into Barnes and Noble quite frequently. I usually shop in the CD section and lately it has become such a frustrating and cumbersome experience. Not only do they not have anyone in that section to assist with questions or where to find a certain CD but the place is just a disaster. It's near impossible to find anything. That being said, I still bring my business since this is the only place that carries older music. But, a few days ago I had what can only be described as the most insulting experience since I have been coming in. I came in looking for a few Beatles albums for Christmas. Once again, I found the music department a baron wasteland. I had to walk around for over five minutes before I could find an employee. I finally was approached by Josh who offered his assistance. I wanted to know which was the very first Beatles CD and he was swift with his ability to find the answer. Not only did he provide this but he was unbelievably friendly and warm. Now, this is where the experience went from a 10 to inexcusable 1. Across the desk, was the manager who's name was Gregory. He was helping a customer but then paused, actually going out of his way, to ask Josh to answer the phone, WHILE HE WAS HELPING ME. Josh told him he would in a minute and continued to help me. Not even a minute later, Gregory asked him AGAIN and even told me that he needs Josh to get to work instead of having conversations. I found myself filled with anger but did not want to cause a scene. Josh took the phone call and apologized for Gregory. The EMPLOYEE was apologizing for the MANAGERS actions. Shouldn't that be the other way around? I waited a little bit because I still had a few more questions but at that point it began to get unbelievably busy and I had enough. I thanked Josh and put my CDs down and left. I could not believe the unmitigated gall that manager had to push me aside just because I was asking questions. I am still shocked and insulted and frankly saddened because I don't feel like I can continue shopping here, which is a shame because I love purchasing CDs. Barnes and Noble, train your managers to have respect towards the customers, or your business will crumble before your very eyes.

Walked right in was helped immediately by friendly associates. Customer service guy pulled up three books I needed instantly and found two of the three for me and offered to order other one and pulled up stores closest to my zip in case I chose to hunt the third book on my own. The store was very busy and everyone seemed to be in control. The coffee smelled Delish and all the other gifts for Christmas were presented well. Hats off! To Altamonte Sprgs B & N store. Nice experience!

On Sunday morning, my kid tells me he needs a book for the very next day. I rush over this location which is always busy on weekends to find it. This customer service desk has a line of a few people so figure it might be a few minutes before they get to me. An employee walked by without even acknowledging me or the other patrons, I figured he must be with other customers. He (I think his name tag said Gregory or Craig he was a red headed fellow, apparently a manager I don’t know how.) passed by a few more times only to stop and help someone over by the bobble head display instead. This Asian guy named Jacob came up helped all 3 customers in line while on hold with someone on the phone. This guy was like rain man, he didn’t even have to look up the books!!! He checked up on me later while I was waiting for a drink with my wife which was a nice touch.

A great place to chill and relax a bit, has a Starbucks to grab a quick drink. I often wait here when I take any family shopping! Has a great children's section, among all the other genres, and some great novelty gifts from Star Wars to Harry Potter to Ghibli, and DragonBall

Wow this store get busy, but they keep it clean and everyone is well mannered! I didn’t find the book i needed but hopefully I’ll be able to get it online
