I Love Barns & Noble. Always been one of my places to hang out alone or with my children. I go to this location more than the store on the South part of the city. This location has a train table for kids to play. The customer service is friendly. Never had any issues. I hope no locations will be closing anytime soon. I miss Borders Book Store and Hasting Entertainment. Though I do like online shopping, it isn't the same when you go to the store. It's just better to feel and see the product in your hands before you buy it.

Amazon just can't be beat with the prices on some or most books.
The magazine area needs to be modified, it's taller than the average persons height. 
If you're trying to reach a particular book or magazine, you'll need a stool.
On the topic of shelves, if they downsized their shelves they wouldn't need to pretend to fix or adjust the books that they always seem to fix when the shelves look fine or organized. If you enjoy shopping for a good book or a great place to relax and shop, this is not the place.
Own, personal, opinion....
The store needs to allow the customer to enjoy the shopping experience.
 They need to allow customers to buy or purchase the items without feeling pressured into a membership card THAT YOU HAVE TO BUY.
The manager should know what each of his employees look like when detailing the description of one of his employees or co-worker. 
Walking in and walking out of a book store shouldn't feel like walking in and out of a bank
or someplace that should act like secrete services...  😐😒

Great place to shop for books and literary stuff. Staff is very helpful, but not over bearing. Comfortable atmosphere and great selection. In shop Starbucks is a nice place to also get a snack ans other refreshments.

Another clean Barnes & Noble location on the north end of Colorado Springs. This location is a bit bigger than the Citadel location, but their main kinds of products remain the same. 

Here are a few differences between the Briargate location and Citadel location.

- This location features a Barnes & Noble cafe. Barnes & Noble gift cards, Member cards and cafe coupons work here. Starbucks cards DO NOT work.

- This store has a larger bargain selection than the south store.

- This store is open later than the south store during the week.

- This store does not feature the new Trends Shop that the Citadel location does.

They will place a hold on a book/item for up to a week. This was helpful and unexpected as I had asked to put a book on hold to pick up, but was unable to stop by that same day. When I stopped by the next day, they had it right there at the check out. I was in/out very quickly. Staff is always helpful and friendly. 
They also have a bit selection of board games and puzzles for all ages.
