Love this B&N location. Convenient by foot from most Center City locations. There is always a security guard stationed at the front door who provides a warm greeting. The multiple levels and sections are clearly defined and the cafe has plenty of space for a large group of customers to sit, read and/or eat. The staff have been very helpful in my visits there.

Great place to visit if you are trying to buy a book or just hanging out. The store is right in center city and across the street from Rittenhouse Square. Staff here is very friendly and helpful when you are looking for a specific book. They have a Starbucks cafe on the 2nd level with free wifi, you can sit there and read your books.

So I ordered a book from here for my son. I asked the lady who took my order by phone could she write a small message in my son's book. Just saying "good job on your report card, love dad" she agreed and act like she was writing it. Book gets to our home a couple days later, NOTHING!!!! I don't understand why she would even agree if you're not going to do it!!!!! I was very upset! Being as though his father is away at work he wanted to surprise him. Very disappointed Barnes and noble! 😩

Grubby place, bums and bike messengers loiter out front.  Restroom gets constantly repainted due to graffiti.  They took the door off the restroom but should have installed keypad and started making it for customers only!!  All the tables in the caf are put together for large groups, when I asked why they are not separated employee said some big group did that and they never changed it back.  Lazy staff.
