The food was good, the waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines my friend was asking about. My only complaint would be that it's expensive, and it kind of fit into that vibe of Iowa city where it's just kind of pretentious. It reminded me of Clinton Street Social club in terms of vibe. Nice place though, just maybe not my style. I got the ravioli. It was really good. I was starving when I went in and sometimes places like this, you'll get 5 small pieces and you're dying of hunger still. These were decent size and satisfied me. I wasn't overly stuffed, but wasn't disappointed in the amount of food I got.

We love Baroncini for its quiet elegance, delicious meals, informative & friendly wait staff, wine list and the DESSERTS. Can't forget about the amazing desserts and sometimes go there just for that after a show at the Englert! We recommend this place to people all the time.

Holy hell... This place is amazing... The food was sooo good... Staff was super friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back... One of the top Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at!

An out-of-towner who stumbled upon this gem while traveling on business. I would describe Baroncini as authentic, intimate, and delicious. The food comes at a price, but really was excellent. I enjoyed the Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci. I sat at the bar, where the service was excellent, and took advantage of their happy hour (5-630), which got me a dollar off my Peroni. All around an excellent meal and environment.

Food was great, beautifully presented, owner very pleasant as he checked in with us. Service incredibly slow. Waiter pretentious. Very loud, more like a bar than a nice restaurant. And there was a table of extraordinarily loud guys, one of whom sounded like a braying mule when he howled with laughter, which was often. An impressive wine list, but the one we chose was sold out. The service was so slow that the appetizer we wanted was sold out by the time the waiter came to take our order. Doubt we'll be back.
