Dumpling Darling is a story of food, travel and love. Upon graduating from the University of Iowa, Lesley Triplett moved to South Korea to teach English, where she was joined by her now-husband, Brian. That's where the passion for dumplings was born. After a series of travels around Asia, Lesley arrived back to Iowa and started recreating some favorite dishes for friends and family. In 2014, she started Dumpling Darling as a hobby at the local farmers market. In 2015, Lesley launched a stall at NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids along with making appearances at festivals around Iowa. In March of 2017, Dumpling Darling opened its doors in downtown Iowa City, a block away from where Lesley and Brian first met. We love our community and are excited to share with you the dumplings and street food we've discovered from around the world.
