Discovered this little gem today in lieu of waiting an hour for brunch at the Iron Rooster. Service was excellent, food was great, nice warm and cozy atmosphere. Our server took a moment to ask what other types of brunch food we would like to see on the menu- I think it's great that an establishment would reach out to get direct feedback from its customers. Really enjoyed the experience, glad we found Barrett's!

I'm a cheap date! After going to the movies my friend and I wanted to grab a bite to eat. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to eating good food because my mom couldn't cook! I also am partial to independently owned restaurants as I believe they try harder to please then chain restaurants although I frequent both. I only ordered soup and an appetizer. Won on both accounts. The cream of crab roasted corn soup was outstanding and a delightful combination of roasted corn and large chunks of lump crabmeat. I could have made a meal on just the soup.  I wish I had that recipe! The server was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu and made good suggestions.  My shrimp wrapped with bacon was tender and delicious.  My friend ordered a good old standard of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. He didn't have one speck left on his plate.  We sure found a gem here!

I went here with my family last week. Service was amazing! This place was busier than ever but our waitress (Kristen) was really great with her recommendations. She even had the manager stop by and talk to us for a while. Very cozy on the inside, kitchen works quickly. 

We ordered the French Dip sandwich, the chicken and kale sandwich, and the bacon cheese burger. All of us tried each one and loved them all. I will admit that the French Dip was my favorite. So full of flavor! Great place to go to eat. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely visit again!

I have been here at least four times. Service and food in the dining room are impeccable. The bar service, however, is always rather slow. They really crowd you in there, and it gets very noisy. Children don't  belong in a bar. I do enjoy their cocktails--very inventive. Happy hour is $2 off drinks and a few items are half price. But most small plates don't go on sale. Overall, I like the place--it's fun and serves up tasty, inventive food.

Service is very good, black bean soup was great, French Dip sandwich was great, as was the Bread Pudding dessert. 
I visited this place for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Manager stopping by the table for a chat was a nice touch too. 
Made the second trip there today and everything is still most enjoyable.
Large servings of meat on the sandwich and large desserts is a plus.
