We've  always had great success with Janet! She takes good care of us

We went to Janet at Barry Travel based on reveiws and referrals we had seen and gotten from other people and we thought that we had made a good choice for help in planning our honeymoon.  Everyhing seemed to go well in the process of picking a resort in Mexico. We went to her with very specific things that we wanted and she assured us that the resort we booked would meet all those requirments.
The whole disaster started before the wedding.  We called Janet and the agency twice before we left for our destination wedding in Florida. We got some helpful info from the other ladies in the office and were informed that Janet would be out on vacation until Thursday the day after we left for the wedding.  My husband got a call while he was on the beach taking photos with his family before the wedding from Janet telling him that he forgot to pick up the itennerary and he informed her that he was not told that he needed to pick anything up. She faxed it to his fathers home and we should have known at that point that this was going to be an adventourous trip. 
We left for our honeymoon very early on a Monday morning at Janet's advice so that we could check in early to our hotel and have more time on our first day. WE got to the resort around noon and were told by the front desk that we would not be able to check in until 3 pm. Not a big deal they gave us our bands and told us we could go eat or go to the beach so we though sure that is not too bad.  We started to look for all the restaurants that Janet had told us about.  WE looked and could only find the buffet. I asked the hostess where the rest of the restuaurants were. She told us that there were only buffets for lunch and breakfast.  We went in to eat and it was gross buffet food, my most hated type of food in the world.  This was something we were very specific with Janet about and were dissappointed but thought hey it could be worse.
We went back to the front desk to check in and our ocean view room was a construction view, there was no ocean veiw even avaialable for our room type.  We had requested a couple's only resort and she told us that the resort we were on was kids only and that the kids were at the sister resort next door but not allowed in our area. There were kids everywhere, even a crying baby that woke us up early several mornings. 
We thought well we will just order room service since the buffet was so gross and we are starving, but wait no room service like we requested and told there was?  At this point we decided to call Janet and after several calls to get her number and $120 later we got in touch with her only for her to tell us we would need to find the Mexican travel agent who coordinates all issues in Mexico and that there was nothing she could do.  
We were able to get a garden view and booked excursions for every day but one with the wonderful help of the Lomas Travel agent but were so upset with the whole situation.  This was our honeymoon not just a vacation and we were so upset that Janet lied to us in order to get us to book our vacation.  If you took the time to read this novel of a review please know that Janet at Barry Travel will not do you right and if you are going to plan a vacation you should do it yourself or find another agent.
