Really enjoyed participating in the Eclipse programming they had at the park! It's sad to see how many trees have been on fire in there. Such a great and kind ranger service. They were friendly and made us feel so smart and at home there. Thank you for a nice experience.

This park is recovering nicely from the fires of 2011. The formerly barren trails have scrub oaks and pines of about 8 feet in height. The camp grounds are in great shape and the hiking trails are totally awesome. The trails that escaped fire damage are beautiful with ferns and impossibly tall pines. I plan on going back and camping again soon

This is one of the best state parks in Texas. It is set in the Lost Pines area and, if you are a cyclist, it has one of the best roads in the area - Park Road 1C. It also has a large swimming pool. The staff are very nice and welcomed us during Hurricane Harvey.

All time favorite State Park! Trees are starting to grow back (from the fires) and it has a great campground with diligent Park Rangers (keeping it quiet after dark). Very much apprecoated!

Friendly, helpful staff who provide a very well preserved and progressing park. The smell of pine is all around as you hike the trails, or bike the roads, or fish the pond, or swim in the pool. A very cool place to camp. We always have a great time here, any season. Enjoy!
