My husband and I had purchased a dinette set, with 6 chairs along with 3 bar stools for our kitchen last year. The reason that we decided to purchase Bausman furniture was because the furniture rep told us that the quality of their furniture was far superior to any other company. We decided to get what is known as a "bar finish" table top. We were told that this type of finish would not allow any glass rings to show on the table top. We have never left any glasses on the table for an extended period of time as we are very careful with all of our furniture and we take pride in our home and the way we follow directions on any of our furniture finishes. Given the fact that we were told that this table had a "bar finish", we were still very careful with cleaning the table top. Especially since we paid over $14,000.00 on this dinette set. We certainly didn't expect this table top to look the way it does now. We tried to contact the company for them to rectify this situation and they are not interested in priding themselves on the Bausman company name. All they offered was for us to send the table top to CA from NY at OUR expense to have the table top refinished. We thought that we were dealing with a reputable furniture company but much to our dismay we've wasted $14,000.00 on a dinette set that now has to be covered with a table cloth. Please do not order any furniture from Bausman, they do not stand behind their products. Even the interior designer that ordered the set for us was disappointed in their service with us. His only thought is that perhaps the finish wasn't dry in between coats for this to have happened. If that is so, it is truly their fault that our table looks the way it does. Again, think twice before placing an order with this company. Too bad that a company that produces furniture made in America doesn't stand behind their products. Shame on you Bausman! Gatto Family
