The Y isn't just the name on the building. We're a spirit, a movement and a cause. Members join us because they believe in us - and the values we stand for. Our Y has proudly served the Webster, Penfield, Irondequoit and various Ontario County communities since 1972. Together with people like you, we nurture the potential of kids, help people understand and improve their health, and provide opportunities to give back and support our neighbors. Been a member for a long time and used to work for the Y. This branch has some of the best people working at it. I plan on sending my son here for camp when he's old enough. You really won't find a place that makes you feel more welcome or at home. My family loves it.

I can't say enough about this place! Staff: friendly, always has a kind word, listens to your problems and compliments Equipment: not always in top order, but well maintained, clean and enough to keep you going. There is no lack! Members: great members, most have a ready smile to offer, are friendly and can be down to earth. There is a retirement village right across from here, and the laughter and smiles over a card game in the lobby add to the homey atmosphere! Classes: they offer classes at reasonable rates, and more than any other ymca I have been to. Considering there are 3 yes, 3 pools, one with a water slide, one indoors, there is no end to fun! There are 2 playgrounds plus an indoor adventure center for the kids and they also have a splash park! This place is amazing. I started coming when my son was 6 weeks. He's now 6 years old and we still love it! I can't wait till he's old enough for the zip line and climbing wall outdoors! Oh, it's also across from Wegmans, Wal-Mart, once upon a child and several restaurants. NOT TO MENTION they have a shop n drop, so you can drop off your kids for a tiny fee for a few hours and enjoy the nearby attractions!

This place is phenomenal. The only issue I have is the fact that the staff doesn't give the basketball gym its proper attention or time. A gym with basketball hoops should be available for basketball. If you are not using those items and you can perform your activities elsewhere then you should.
