BayVue's philosophy is to serve the freshest food available. Whether its fresh fish, steak or a simple luncheon salad, we offer you an enjoyable, casual experience. Come dine with us in our main dining room, outside patios or visit our newest addition, The Rooftop, all overlooking the Great South Bay in Lindenhurst, NY. Covered patio and outdoor patio seating reservations are weather permitting and cannot be guaranteed

We went there recently about 2 pm for lunch and requested a table outside with umbrella-lovely day but wanted a bit of shade. The hostess said there were no tables available. Looking outside, we saw at least 6-8 empty tables with umbrellas. She, and then the manager, both said we couldn't sit there because it wasn't a table for TWO, and the manager said they needed to reserve those tables (a few of them seated just 4) for more than two people. We were AMAZED that they would turn down two patrons IN CASE MORE THAN TWO showed up. 6-8 EMPTY TABLES. Needless to say, we left, won't be back, and put out the word about BayVue's ridiculous and self-serving "policy".

We were a party of 5 and all of us enjoyed our meal. Our waitress linda was friendly and accommodating. The view was spectacular.

Bad service. Constant mistakes and felt rushed. Too bad bc the atmosphere is nice.

Atmosphere is pretty, food a big disappointment. For a place on the water u would think seafood was fresh & cooked to perfection,not the case in my dish. Had a pina colada tasted watered down like sitting in blender all day no flavor.apps crab cakes slightly burnt,entree flounder stuffed with crab meat was thin tasted frozen & broiled dry,burned on top. $31.00 for that .never will return for dinner. Ashame nice location not for food.
