I have lost all faith in this bank. I USED to be a very happy customer. BCB has over the past few months had numerous problems with their ATMS and systems. Between ATMS being down, systems going down, and general lack of service. The icing on the cake happened last week. On Thursday the ATM at their main office (4th and Ave C) ate my debit card. I placed it in the slot and it just fell into the bottom of the machine. I immediately call the hotline on the website and claim the card "lost/stolen". The next day I stop in the bank during the hours of operation to reclaim my card. The bank staff tells me that no card was retrieved from the machine that day. I told them I needed a replacement card ASAP as I am traveling to Texas soon to speak at a leadership convention. They assured me if I put the request in that day (July 22nd) it would be ordered on the following Monday (July 25th) and I would have it by today (July 29th). Then the trouble really started....I went home to check my online banking to get a review of my balance and any pending payments. I noticed a payment for Walmart for around $70 made the day after I lost my card and reported it "lost/stolen". I then noticed on the same day a purchase from Apple. I do have an iphone, but I have my appstore and Itunes hooked to my Discover card (cash bank and discounts). This mean my card was taken from that ATM by someone with access to it (in my line of thought, has to be a bank employee or vendor) and used illegally. Now problem #2. I called the bank today (July 29), the day I was supposed to receive my card. Turns out they didn't order it until July 27th, and there was a chance I would not receive it in time for my trip. I was told to have patience and wait by the woman on the phone. So let me get this straight, your broken ATM ate my card, then someone stole my card from you and used it illegally, then you lied about ordering my card and now I may not have access to cash on my trip. I am sorry, but I have been patient enough. Today, after work, I will be stopping by BCB to withdraw all of my money except for a few hundred to cover checks I wrote recently, and moving to a new bank. BCB was once a great place to do business, but as of late, their systems and service have gone downhill.
