With passion to change lives BeachSide CrossFit was Established August 2010. BeachSide CrossFit is a CrossFit training facility located in Ventura, CA and is designed to achieve three objectives, Health, Fitness and Performance through strength and conditioning, with a emphasis on strength. BeachSide Crossfit has been established as the premier spot for CrossFit training in Ventura and surrounding areas. We offer specialized Olympic Weightlifting training, nutritional guidelines and direct coaching on a personal level.

Transfer from Mavericks gym.... First squat max attempt in 4 months. 335# squat PR for #beachsidecroasfit today.. 4 months ago when I started crossfit, I began very hesitant and very skeptical. First off, bench press is never programmed in the workouts, my favorite (you can still do them though on your own free time there). And I had the fear that all my strength gains made on my own would disappear since we hardly ever do max days... Not only did I hit a new PR, but I'm in way better shape than I've ever been! The programming is the best, and although it's not geared towards mirror muscles if you're worried, you get so much more out of crossfit, as Nathan will remind you your fitness is a marathon, not a sprint. Your body will gain incredible mobility and you'll be able to move around more efficiently and in less pain. Most importantly, and the thing you can't find at a normal gym, is the community. Friends at the gym, lifting buddies, faces you recognize at your normal gym who *might* cheer on your heavy lifting attempts, aren't community. Here at beachside, you will make friends with those doing the same as you and suffering through a workout with you, and you will look forward to seeing those same faces every workout. Here at Beachside, they'll all always cheer you on and push you to do better, every lift, every PR attempt, every tail end of a terrible cardio workout. It takes a little blind trust to walk away from something you've been so use to, something you're so comfortable with in being at your normal gym. Don't be ok being comfortable, challenge yourself, and do it here, at a place with coaches that will help you, and a community that will push you to the best fitness you've ever had.

I had the pleasure of working out at Beachside CrossFit for a couple of months in the summer of 2016. I had left my former gym in 2015 after new owners took over, and I had been without a gym and working out on my own for almost a year. I reached out to Nathan and asked if I could work out at Beachside for the two months before I moved out of the area, just so I could get back into CrossFit and have the fun of working out in a group class again. From the very first day I walked into Beachside, everyone was very welcoming, and Nathan and the other coaches were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Additionally, the programming was excellent! There is a consistent, solid strength program, and the conditioning work is thoughtfully programmed as well, varied and smart. At Beachside, Nathan has created a very strong community due not only to the high quality of his facility and the programming, but also his concern for and attention to every single member.

I joined Beachside Crossfit about six months ago. I had never done anything like it in the past or had any type of coaching for strength training. Joining this community has not only changed my life but also given me a mental and physical drive that I didn't think I could regain. If you are looking for a community that will push and support you this is the place. My strength and endurance has increased greatly along with skill and form! Nathan and the other Beachside coaches are amazing along with the members of this community! I highly recommend Beachside to everyone looking to physically and mentally better themselves.

Beachside has become my home away from home. I live in Texas and travel back to Ventura to see my family and friends as often as I can. The members and coaches at Beachside are open and welcoming and its a great place to drop in. The programming is top notch- lots of lifting and great wods (and who doesn't love lifting!) Nate and the other coaches are great at what they do and some awesome people. So glad that I found them!
