I moved here a year ago. I love it. It's well-maintained, office staff is friendly, maintenance responds very quickly. The grounds are clean and well maintained. I love having a porch and my own entrance. The only improvements I could suggest, but not sure possible, is more hours to access gym equipment, and water seems a bit pricey for just being me on my own. I don't use much but everyone is charged the same. I'm sure it's a good deal for an entire family.

Overall, I'm very happy to be here.

Realistically I would give Beachwood a 2.5. I am currently a tenant here with my girlfriend and we have been here for approximately 18 months. For the most part it is quiet and no one is ever much of a bother which is nice, and the grounds itself are kept clean. We live in a two bedroom unit with an upstairs and a basement (unfinished) and its a decent amount of room for the price I suppose. My only real complaint with Beachwood is the front office (for being rude) and some members of maintenance. We have had to call maintenance on several occasions to fix things around our home, and the only reason that ever became an issue to me is because we kept having to call back about the same things. It took me calling the company that owns the property, to get in touch with the property manager (who was extremely helpful and polite) to get someone over here to fix a leaky faucet in our bathtub that had previously caused the ceiling in the kitchen to give way (which is a completely different issue I do not even care to elaborate on). The gentleman who ended up properly fixing this problem actually laughed and showed me what the recurring issue was; they had been using incorrect parts for the repairs... which goes to show me that they either didn't care or were not qualified to be performing that type of fix in the first place. So again I would have nothing to complain about if I did not have to call maintenance, I kid you not 10-15 times within the first year of living here.

I moved in to Beachwood just over a year ago, and sadly have to move out. But I can say that Beachwood is a great place to live, and all my neighbors were great! The management is easy to work with, and always treated us as valued residence. All the maintenance workers were really friendly, and even took a liking to my two children; saying hi to my children or waving at them when they drove by and saw us. Its been a good year, and a positive experience. All the bad comments I guess came from residence under the old management. I never met them or had any dealings with them, but the current management is awesome.

My wife ad I lived here for 1.5 year and it was the worst experience of our lives. From 2 floods to the office manager being terrible at her job this place is a dump. When we moved in our apartment was so dirty that we could not even move in it was so gross and they did not care at all. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I am telling you that any place in the area is 10 times better than here. Even when we moved out the office manager told us we could move out on the 1st of the month and turn the keys in no problem and they charged us for the day! Legally in Michigan you get your security deposit back between 30-45 days and it has been 60. They are not refunding that $32.00 they charged us though for the day we moved out. They just recently hired another office manager and she is very rude and not helpful on the phone at all. I am telling you right now that this will be your worst experience of your life. Just read the reviews!  STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP AND OFFICE MANAGER!

Beachwood townhomes is a great place to live. I lived there for the past year and I had a positive experience. 
Main pros:
Quiet neighborhood
Townhomes style so you get a private entrance and more privacy
Washer/Dryer inside of the unit
Management were super nice and professional

Main cons:
Appliances are old, and can get use of upgrades
