The owner of this furniture business is a typical salesman who practices deceptive marketing. My first (and final) experience with the King Hickory line (sofa, chair and ottoman), marketed by Gary, the owner, as a "fine quality" and "top of the line" furniture company was the worst spent money of my life. I later learned (after delivery of the furniture and realizing it's sub-standard quality) that King Hickory is a "discount" furniture retailer. I paid "fine furniture" prices for visually appealing wrapped junk. In addition, the quality of King Hickory 's customer service was found to fall in line with the quality of their product. Live and learn! If you are looking for "quality" fine furniture, local to the Springfield, MA area (home to Beautiful Rooms) may I suggest "Chap de Lain's" in South Hadley, MA. Otherwise, save yourself the money and aggravation and shop at Gary's counterpart, Bob's Furniture Outlet in West Springfield, MA.

Dealing with this company and the owner Gary has been the biggest nightmare I have ever encountered with any business period. He basically lied to us on delivery time. Items have taken several months, some pieces were damaged, items were delivered covered with dust, his delivery people damaged our new hardwood floors where they had to be re-sanded and we are still waiting on a replacement curio that had scratches in the glass and wood and appeared to be a used piece of furniture that he may have had in inventory for some time. Told us he was giving us 60% off list but never would show us the list price. I feel sorry for the people who get sucked in by this guy on the internet for there is no way of knowing who you are dealing with and if you look at his web page it's obvious he has filtered the results. Beware before you part with your cash with this guy.
