We have been going to Jennifer (master stylist) at Beauty Brands  Village point for almost 15 years now.  She is the only person to cut or color my family's hair so that we ALL like it.  8 people from 3 generations of us go to her and only her.  Between  a 14 yr old boy, 2 teenage girls, 2 grown men, 2 grown women and my mother  we all have extremely different hair and we all have very different taste and style but she cuts all of them perfectly.  waist long, military short, sort of curly, perfectly strait, very thin, extremely thick, soft like a toddler and as course and wiry as it gets.  She not only cuts your hair so that it  looks good when she is done but she cuts it so that it looks good even after it has grown out a bit.  i have found that we all need less frequent haircuts because of this.  she always dries your hair and then checks the cut again b/c your hair lays differently when it is dry.  she even takes the time to massage your scalp when she washes it so that the hair will lay naturally for the cut. she will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and doesn't mind making any adjustments if you change your mind or thought it would look differently.  i can not comment on services other than hers as i  have never used another stylist from this salon (b/c frankly i would never let another stylist touch any of us)  but we LOVE LOVE LOVE Jennifer and will go to her and her alone for as long as we can.

If at all possible I would give zero stars. I went here once for a cut and basically got a textureless bowl on my head. I continued to shop here for my hair products and a few weeks ago received a free blow out I figured I'd give it another try with a new stylist. This was about a million times worse than the first time. I asked for bangs and ended up with about three little clumps of hair that look like the horror stories you hear of preteens that try and give themselves bangs. A toddler with hedge trimmers could have done better. Now I have to go some place else and pay to have this mess fixed. Please please please save your money and never go to this salon you will be disappointed. Will not be returning.

To put it honestly, I had a bad experience. Normally,  I don't really like being bugged by employees and asked a million questions, but I also dislike it when I am completely ignored. Each employee made eye contact with me but none even smiled or acknowledged me! I find that it's important and a chief duty of an employee, especially at a retail store, to make each customer feel welcome and comfortable asking for help. I  discovered that Beauty first tends to have far superior customer service compared to any Beauty Brands store. Looks like it's gonna be Beauty First for me!
