We had our daughter's birthday here and let me tell you - it was the EASIEST and most enjoyable (for me and my daughter:) birthday she's ever had! They truly take care of everything so you can actually enjoy your time with your kid and friends. It's not cheap but well worth the money if you want a super fun and easy birthday for your child! Oh and they give them a real bowling pin signed by everyone at the party! My daughter slept with hers she loved it so much! I wish she'd be ok with doing it every year!

I am so disappointed with Bowl Mateo, this was a place where everyone felt welcome, not anymore. This past Monday I receive the most disappointing news.  We were told that Bowl Mateo was no longer able to accommodate the special needs group that has been bowling here every Friday for over 10 years due to accommodating other groups.  I believe they have a new manager as of last year.  Do to this we have noticed the change on how our group has been treated.  They asked the program coordinator to call every week for availability now they can't accommodate the group.  You would think that since you are paying for the lanes (they are not free to our group) that they would reserve them in advance.  Every week they look forward to see who would have the best score, unfortunately this has come to an end.  I can only hope that Bowl Mateo realizes what a huge impact this has made to our special needs teens and adult.  We are all very sad and hope we can find a new activity that they can all participate in.

Great bowling alley for large groups. The lane computers are some of the best I've used. You can even taunt your fellow bowlers with a built-in messaging system.  The food and drinks are reasonably priced as well.

Great place to bowl especially with kids. They love the "computers" set up and playing around with the customization. The funny animations displayed after you take your turn are also a plus. 

As of a few years before this review, they offered tours of behind the pin machines which is unbelievably exciting for kids (not sure if they still do, but I'd assume so). 

The reason I only gave 4/5 was the low food quality. We always bowl and then go eat at the molly stones across the street.

It was full when we reached. There was some party going on. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get lanes. We played air-hockey in their arcade till then. Overall its a very well organized and well maintained place. The bowling score screen is very good too.
