The exotic doctors took great care of my boys. I loved that even though we didn’t always get the same doctor each time (bc of my work schedule) they worked together and consulted with one another as our boys got older concerning their medicine and individual conditions. They explained things to us and worked with us to help give the best care. When my boys both eventually passed away they sent a nice card with hand written notes inside. I liked that I could always get an appointment and get top treatment. When we decided to adopted pets in the future we will not hesitate to use this practice as our pets primary care physicians.

I work in the veterinary industry, so to say I am very picky with my veterinarian would be an understatement. I saw a negative comment about "over testing", and could not disagree more. That testing is what saved my beagle's life. I went to multiple veterinarians because my dog was peeing everywhere including to a specialists. None of them could seem to diagnose my dog. Basically, I kept receiving antibiotics and nothing was working. I went to see Dr. Joe Martins, and he thought about it, and asked to give my dog a test (without any pressure) that no one else thought to do. We found out she had Cushings Disease. Once we diagnosed it, he was able to treat her. My beagle lived a high quality life for years after other veterinarians wrote her off thinking there was nothing they could do. Not only that, there have been so many times, Dr. Martins has reached out because he was thinking about my pet and alternative treatments. Since then, I have brought my two labs, a guinea pig and have referred multiple family and friends to Belle Mead. I have to say every person has made the switch. Once they experience how thorough and thoughtful they are, it's an easy move. I have also found the staff to be helpful, caring, and accommodating. I could not recommend Belle Mead Animal Hospital more.

New to the area, my wife and I have been looking for just the right place to take our animals for care. We found the staff at Belle Meade to be courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Additionally, the facility is clean and animal-friendly. Our dog received the highest quality of care you would expect. We have found the right place!

It's been fourteen years since I had a dog and my memories of Belle Mead's excellent and compassionate care exists still, as I discovered when we brought our adopted rescue dog in for her first well visit. Dr. Simon's exam was extremely comprehensive, extending far beyond a purely physical examination of Hazel. Her clear concern for Hazel and patience with the multitude of questions that I asked was admirable. Our subsequent visits with technicians were equally comprehensive and one in particular, Chris, showed true compassion. Although the practice has grown immensely over the past decade, it is evident that the original standards have been upheld.

The Dr's are all very nice. Our dog is a nervous guy and they treat him very well. My only issue is the time it takes to check out. Up to 30 minutes I've waited after my husband takes our dog outside to the car. When I'm by myself this is hard. Trying to keep my dog calm in a waiting room full of people and their pets is not easy and I don't want to put him in the car alone. The receptionists are wonderful, just waiting on the Dr to bring our dog's chart. I get it, but I've never had to wait like that at any other vet's office. I like the office so we continue to use them. Hope they can remedy this.
