This place is magic! My cat, Lucy, has been aggressive and extremely nervous at vets her whole life (she’s 15). On our first visit, Lucy was calm and relaxed and even gave the doc a kitty kiss. This place takes such good care of their patients and they truly have a gift with animals. So happy to have found this place!

Will avoid this place! Very disappointed!! I came here due to all the great reviews I read on Yelp so decided to bring my dog here for his annual vaccines and checkup. My pup threw up immediately right in front of the clinic the minute we stepped out after his vaccines. As a worried pet parent, I ran back inside with my pup asking why he threw up and looked so ill after just a regular annual vaccine/check up. They took him in the back room immediately and gave him other steroid shots without asking me first. So after that, my pup came back out and had diarrhea (with blood in stool) within a minute after the assistant handed him back to me. The Vet told me he had allergic reaction to the vaccines...and had to give him other steroid shots right away because his gums went pale and was hard to detect his heartbeat?!?! (who wouldn't have a heart attack if you heard that just thinking you brought your pup in for his annual vaccines/checkup and ended up with a very sick pup?) Prior to seeing the Vet, the receptionist took all my previous records and supposedly called my previous Vet to check the records before seeing my pup but obviously they did not read the past history. (As other reviewers stated, this place looks clean and yes I agree the receptionist/staff are friendly to your pup but other than that that's really it but I wouldn't want a very sick pup in return) Vet then told me, my pup should sleep through the night after all those shots but my pup was whining, crying and was so uncomfortable to the point that he could not lay still at one spot to sleep or even sleep at all. My pup had no appetite and did not want to eat at all. The next day....I found my pup's underarm bruised up and I immediately went back to the Vet to inquire. Vet told me she was not sure how that could of happened and that it was "odd" to have a bruise there..??!?!!! So never received an answer as to why my pup's underarm bruised up. 
My pup continued to have no appetite and started to lose weight...
Went in as a happy healthy pup and ended up with a sick bruised pup in return.

The clinic is very clean, the personal & doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable. I was there with my puppy and my kitten, have no complains. During the first visit with my kitten the doctor spent good 40 minutes with me just answering my questions and giving advises. The services are not cheap, but it's the same everywhere - having a pet is expensive in New York city. But the follow-up appointment is free of charge, only pay for the shot, also they trim the nails and clean the ears for free during the visit. They always send the reminders about your next appt or next scheduled shot, they open on weekends and always will find the sport if there is an emergency. If your pet is lucky, it can be a Patient of the Day on their daily Facebook news. I would recommend this place.

I have a 4 month old shorkie and after reading the reviews I decided to visit this facility... after just one visit I was extremely comfortable with having these doctors care for my pup. Very friendly and passionate  staff from day one.. strongly recommended this place for anyone with a pet.. thank you guys for caring for my pooch....

Staff is very rude, not what is being said but how they say it.  They have an air about them like they are above the rest.  Doctor is always up-selling a service you don't need or want.  Making statements that if you don't get this test, we cannot proceed, yet at other vets that is not the case.  Will never go back there again.  Found a much better place at 7624 New Utrecht Ave, Brooklyn Veterinary Group.  Saw me without an appointment and a first time visit right away and no up-selling or rude issues.
