Dear Sir/ Madam. I had booked Grand Canyon West Rim coach Tour from Las Vegas [18262P2] for 2 Adults from Viator and I was given confirmation for the tour start Friday, September 22, 2017. 7.00 AM. When I reconfirmed on September 21, 2017, I was told that the said tour was cancelled without assigning any reason and that the tor cost of $ 216.00 would be refunded but so far no refund has been made to my account. I had gone to Las Vegas from India just to tour Grand Canyon. Since I was with the group, it was not possible for me to reschedule the tour. I am a pensioner and have incurred tremendous financial loss as all of my saving has been wasted for nothing.

First you will drive 14 miles on unpaved, very bumpy road. When you get there: The parking is 20$. The Skywalk will cost you 70$ per person. You will have to take a bus to get from the parking to the Skywalk. The bus runs every 20-30 minutes. You will have to wait in a long line before you get on it.Before entering the Skywalk you need to leave all your stuff in the office. No cameras are allowed on the Skywalk. They will charge you for the crappy pictures they take. You will need to go through the security gate like at an airport. It is definitely not worth to go there. I suggest to go to Southern rim. The West rim is beautiful but horribly managed.

I agree with most as far as having to pay for everything which should be free or at least reasonable. I usally drive out of Las Vegas to go see the Grand Canyon but normally with others so I drive to the South Rim. I love taking pictures and being by myself this trip thought it would be worth paying the parking to save a couple of hundred miles and getting to take pictures on the glass walkway. Two words describe my experience,"Pure Hell"! I am glad I was in a rented car driving down 14 miles each way of a pure dusty washboard road at 10 mph and then to find out you can not even take your camera on the glass walkway. It would of been nice to have posted that before destroying my kidneys about no cameras allowed on walkway and saved me from the worse drive in my life! Being in construction the walkway did not amaze me, I just thought I could take some good pictures being atop the walkway overlooking the canyon. Boy was I wrong but you can pay them to take one...whoopy! It took me two hours cleaning dust out of car before returning it to the rental company. I actually video taped my drive so people could see how bad it was. No place to pass and you will probably get to follow a tour bus eating their dust. I seen they were building a new road going back there but would hate to see what they will charge for that. I say drive the extra miles and go see the South Rim because time wise its about the same after driving 10 mph on the road from hell plus I think the South Rim is allot more beautiful and cheaper. The rental car was nice because it was not mine but for comfort a Baja race vehicle would of been more appropriate and a better chance of not vibrating off the road. If I could of figured how to get the car back I would of payed $300 for a helicopter ride out of there. Again do not waste your money or time, go to the South Rim and enjoy nature. If you think you must have to go, take a tour bus but I would not. I learned my listen the very hard and dusty way!
