My boyfriend and I were visiting family in Apache Junction for a funeral and needed a room for the night, and I was happy to see a Best Western because they are usually very good rooms at reasonably low prices. I was a little put off by the employee’s suggestion to park under a light where the security camera could see the car and make sure everything was locked, but I understood it was because the neighborhood wasn’t a good one and felt that he was looking out for us. After checking in and settling into our room, we sat on the bed (he was at the head, I was at the foot facing him) to talk and unwind — which is when I noticed a tiny brown spot moving across the wall. Upon closer inspection he and I both confirmed it was a well-fed bed bug! As it hurried behind the headboard to hide from my flashlight I noticed a second one crawl from under one pillow to the other. At that point I panicked (I am not only terrified of bedbugs but also severely allergic to their numbing saliva) and we threw all our possessions into the bathroom where we inspected everything inch by inch and threw it into garbage bags to be treated later, got re-dressed and got in the car. We spoke to the staff member working overnight and told him we found bed bugs in our room for which he insincerely apologized and offered to merely switch us to a different room. We refused and asked for a refund so we could stay elsewhere — which he told us had to be done in the morning by his manager — and he didn’t seem to care about the bugs which was slightly disturbing. Our room was directly across from the laundry room, meaning they could have very easily infested the entire building by hitching a ride in the linens, but none of the staff seemed to care which led me to believe they already knew and were ignoring the problem. I’m grateful that we stayed up for a bit and that one of the bugs was brave enough to come out with the lights on, otherwise the night would have been exponentially worse. We never received a refund for the room either, which was just the icing on the cake... I will never be staying at a Best Western again, I was absolutely appalled and disturbed by this experience.

The staff here are very nice and approachable.  Very relaxing atmosphere with an awsome breakfast and well kept pool.  Can't wait to visit here again.

The Apache Junction Best Western is a wonderful place to base a vacation to the wide variety of beautiful sites the Phoenix Eastern Valley has to offer. The Apache Junction Best Western has a wonderful staff , very clean beautiful facility, excellent pool area and outstanding breakfast selections. 
We can not say enough good things about this facility and about this area of AZ. 
Apache Junction and this Bestwestern are awesome.  And please please do not miss the Boyd Thompson Arboretum in Superior, AZ. /30 minutes directly east of Apache Junction.

Clean and comfortable place to stay. We were in town to travel on the Apache Trail and this hotel was the perfect spot to make it all happen easily.

This motel is one of the best we’ve stayed at. It has a great pool, wonderful breakfast. Breakfast included bacon, sausages, pancakes, waffles and biscuits and sausage gravy besides things that are usually at breakfast in motels. Outstanding!
