I never belonged to a synogogue growing up but my husband grew up Conservative.  We both could not be happier.  He wishes Hebrew school was like this when he was a kid and I feel like I’m getting as much out of family Hebrew school as my kids.  I always feel comfortable and supported even though I can only read Hebrew in slow motion! We joined knowing some families and have made so many more friends than we could have imagined.  Our older son is still part of the youth group at 16z. Love the temple; love the people and look forward to the Bar Mitzvah of our younger son next year!

We are thrilled to have joined the BHSS community. We were looking for a spiritual home where we would have our 3 kids grow and learn and call a temple their home; and that's exactly what we have encountered here at BHSS. We joined 2 years ago and all 3 of our children(ages 8, and twins 5) attend religious school and love it! They look forward to spending time with their teaches and friends. We also attend family services, Tot Shabbat services and the million of other services and family activities that the staff puts together. I couldn't say enough about the dedication, the love and the energy the staff has. 
The minute I walked in the doors to have a tour , the minute I knew that I had found a spiritual home for my family!  
If you are looking for congregation, please look no further and come take a tour or feel free to reach out to any one of the congregants.

Stopped by for the Purimshpeil last week and I wanted to say how thankful I am for the BHSS Community. With kids, job, commitments, etc. I don’t get to services as often as I like, but when I do I’m so happy with the decision we made 8 years ago to become members. In good times, our bar and bat mitzvah experiences, and bad, the loss of my mother-in-law, and so many occasions in between we have been surrounded by compassion and caring from congregation members we knew as well as those we didn’t just because that’s what a community does for each other.

Joining this synagogue family 5 years ago was the best decision we could have made. We were looking for a vibrant hebrew school for our daughter and a warm community for our family. We found both. Our daughter is now 17 years old and continues to LOVE going to hebrew school. She looks forward to Monday night Kadimah classes and has developed close relationships with all the clergy and educators. They have created an amazing environment for our children. We all feel like BHSS is a home away from home.

Joining here has been a huge mistake. The leadership and education leadership is dismal   at its best.  I should have joined in Wyckoff.   huge mistake on my behalf.   This is a cold synagogue.  I had hoped for a transitional experience for my children and this is old school, cold,  heartless Hebrew school experience.  Lacks traditionally value and warmth. Go 
 elsewhere.
