Good food. Service is good when they are staffed well. Always seem to be out of something when I go. For me, the tables are a little too close together and the establishment is very loud because of it. Guess it's got an authentic diner feel? Anyways, as a local, I go here every now and then, but I could take it or leave it most visits. I've never had any food I didn't like at Betsy's.

Loved this place! Good food, friendly relaxed atmosphere, waitress was wonderful! As it gets crowded, it does get noisey. It had outdoor seating in front. I would definitely go back.

We got a table right before the lunch rush, but the server took about 5 minutes to even acknowledge us. Then we didn't get to put our order in for another 15 minutes and 2 sandwiches and a kids macaroni took 25 minutes to come out. It seemed like extra slow service for easy to make orders. Others were getting their orders before us when we came in before them. The macaroni (kraft) came out tasting old and had a cheesy film on the top of it that looked like they had made it days ago and then microwaved it. The sandwiches were mediocre. The flavors didn't really go well together. The fries were not very good or flavorful. It was a little over priced for the quality. Also, the employees shirts say "I work this corner" which we think is not appropriate for a family establishment.

I was pleasantly surprised when I had lunch here this week. I found the servers very nice. I love all the activity at this diner. I had the fried green tomato sampler on the back page. A great solution to have a taste of a great southern delicacy with your salad or sandwich. I love the offer of a tea to go, another southern habit that is a sign of down home hospitality. Like other reviews don't miss this place.

So we ordered the fried green tomatoes, Ruben with fries and the pork chop with mushroom gravy rice and gravy and black eye peas. The green tomatoes were pretty good but were missing the twang that I love so much. The Ruben was delicious! The pork chop was missing the mushroom gravy and the flavor was just ok. The server came to our table once during our meal but is was rush hour....first timers, overall ok experience but this will not be a first choice for us.
