It's a good dive. The fried chicken was good and so were the sides, I had the mac 'n cheese and coleslaw. Their prices were fair and the specials they were running were great ($7 for 8 pieces of dark meat!). It's near the Farmer's Market which makes it easy to get some good food after shopping at the market.

Don't let the look confuse you. Everything is fried, not healthy, yet super delicious!! Love the chicken livers!!

Had the catfish dinner and, boy was it a winner! The fish was fresh and crunchy, seasoned just right. The cole slaw was crunchy/creamy and freshly made (absolutely the best). Since I'm not crazy about potatoes, I ordered extra hush puppies instead. Great move on my part, because these were the biggest, sweetest, crunchiest hush puppies I've ever had! I could eat a whole plate of just hush puppies and cole slaw. Seriously though, you should try not only the fish, but they have these giant burgers called Lumberjacks . . . delicious! They also have hot dogs, chicken and lots of other great foods. Little Howie's is a great little place that you won't find anywhere else because it's the only one!

amazing service and food!  my family ate for less than it would cost to go to a fast good establishment,  with a better quality meal. we will be returning!
