They have a HUGE selection of fish and coral, fair prices on fish tanks, and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely come back for fish and tank supplies, but I wouldn't get any other animals. The small selection of mammals up front smelled so bad. There's obviously going to be a smell when you have a sizable sum of rodents like that, but this was worse than other pet stores. It smelled like they don't clean the cages well enough or often enough. Most of the animals looked healthy, but they had some rats which looked awful. Rats are very clean animals by nature, but these were dirty and looked ill. It's sad to see that they don't take care of the animals while they have them.

Love this place. Was able to get rats for my snake... dog food, bird food. Best part, I could bring my pets with me and the staff have always been very helpful and welcoming. They are all particularly intrigued with my pet snake. So nice to feel welcomed with a "not so common" pet.

Going to this store is like going to a field trip. This is a huge warehouse store! The biggest pet store I have ever been to, probably the biggest in Broward and Palm Beach. They are conveniently located close to the Turnpike exit on Hollywood. They carry a variety of items, including stones and driftwood of all sizes, which is a big plus for my reptiles. They have expanded their reptile and small pet collection since my last visit about a year ago, which now includes pastels and banana ball pythons and adult normal ball pythons which most pet stores do not sell, only the babies. They also have hamsters and gerbils which they did not have last time. The best feature of this store are the aquariums. That is the star of the store. Many customers including myself are in awe of the beautiful tanks that they set up, ranging from a small shrimp tank to a large cichlids. They also sell saltwater fish and other sea creatures not normally found in other pet stores, like sea stars and sharks. It was pretty darn cool to see one of these up close. Craig (I may have mispronounced his name) was very helpful. He understood exactly what I was looking for and took the time to help me find the right tank for my blue tongue skink, placing it on layaway until I was able to see it in person. The tank that they had was a rare find (Deep Blue frag) at a price much, much lower than at what online stores would sell for at retail. Prior to calling this store, I was calling reptile stores who either do not carry tanks such size or tried to debate with me on the dimensions (Imagine an 18 inch lizard trying to make a U turn in 13 inches floor space. I might as well not upgrade his tank). For a store that sold primarily aquatic pets and knows large ground dwelling lizards, I am impressed. The only cons are the lack of staffing and the feeder section is severely lacking. I picked up a frozen rat pup for my snake but there was only 1 left. The freezer was mostly empty with a few frozen mice that were... More mummified than appetizing for the snakes.

Beverly's used to be one of my favorite pet stores. Their freshwater fish used to be high quality and staff was more knowledgeable back before the remodel. I've bought fish from them several times since the remodel and have regretted it all but once as all of the fish I've gotten in the last year have either died or spread illness in my tank. If you buy from them, make sure you have a robust quarantine system. They have a large number of species, possibly the most freshwater I have seen in a store aside from Neighborhood fish farm, but the quality is terrible. Recently I've had employees go from ignoring me to literally following me around the store to try and sell me products even after expressing my disinterest. Definitely recommend shopping around before committing to buying anything from this store.
